We now call the WEATHER CHANNEL liars and purveyors of fake news. The WEATHER CHANNEL..... All you expert meteorologists should tweet your concerns and call them liars...good trend,....nobody seems to tell the truth except.... I hope all are well in the storm area, and that no local folks are hurt or killed rescuing others, like yourself, who simply know they lie and Ignored their warnings. They should have called here or visited TOTV |

You know, I started this thread because I thought it would be interesting to watch the weather in key areas. Looks like this has gotten off topic, a little. So, does anyone else have any updated webcam info or YouTube videos they’d like to share?

With the hurricane stalling dumping over 2 feet of rain, over Cape Fear River, plus the storm surge, their area can still not be entered.
All WebCams in the area are no longer working. The last text said it may possibly be at least 7 to 10 days before the water recedes that the roads could be passable, near any barrier islands or coastal homes. Their area took the Mandatory Evacuation Seriously . So still waiting they are safe so no worries. |

As of this morning the only road into their community is too damaged by the water, and not passable. Their county is now classified as a disaster, and can apply for federal funds.
The developer has said it will be weeks before anyone can get to evaluate homes. Although it is said the hurricane did little damage to the homes it’s the depth of the storm surge, they still don’t know about. There is still no power it’s just a matter of waiting. Thanks for everyone’s sending wishes it will be a few weeks until he has any idea of damage. Hopefully the developer planned well as TV did and most of the water flooded into the golf courses. |

Part of S.C. 9 now closed in Horry County - WMBF News - Grand Strand, Pee Dee news, First Alert Weather - WMBFNews.com, Myrtle Beach/Florence SC, Weather
Most roads into Myrtle Beach either are, or will become impassable soon. The video of the high water is actually a golf course, Aberdeen Country Club. Nine of the 27 holes (Woodlands) is back in the Waccamaw River swamp, and along the Buck Creek and Waccamaw River. In 1999 when Floyd hit, the water was 21 feet deep on the Woodlands nine. I imagine it will be at least that high very soon. |
