Hey, the rain has to start and stop somewhere.

We missed it again tonight..rained like a faucet 3 miles to the east. Time to go water the plants again!!

gomoho 06-03-2013 06:32 PM

We got about 10 drops where I am in Hadley, but I'm not giving up hope for tonight. Please, please rain so I don't have to water the new plants tomorrow!!!!

Hi GoBravesgo,

Oh um, I mean't Cubs. Sorry.

Back "home" in the Midwest, did you ever hear the term "isolated thundershowers" on the national weather forecast and wonder what it meant?

Now you know.

I live in Woodbury and about a month ago, it rained on one side of my house and not the other....

Lets hope we ARE under a dome this hurricane season which has now started.

This afternoon, it rained on me 4 separate times traveling from the St. Charles area to the wilds of the Northern Territory.

gocubsgo 06-04-2013 06:36 PM

Speaking of Cane season ..... we got a lil something coming off the Yucatan right now .... NWS is calling for around a 40% chance of further development ... but even then it would only reach tropical storm strength. BUT, should it wonder toward The Sunshine State .... could see some fairly heavy H2O by the weekend.

Remember just about a year ago when we got 12 inches of rain in one day, and the next day 13 sinkholes appeared. That was when the Ashland pond imploded. Be careful what you wish for.

That's when the sinkhole on El Diablo occurred I think...Hole #8.

I am in Silver Lake...a friend of mine lives 2.3 miles away in Weirsdale. We watched the radar tonight and thought "Yay! Finally! Some rain for the grass and flowers! (not to mention Paradise Lake)" Nope...not a drop but my friend 2.3 miles away got 3.8 inches!!

I've never seen a line of rain or storms literally split in half and go north or south around an area...or it horseshoes and rains all around us but not here. I'm sure the day will come and it will be our turn over here but for now, we wait and do a rain dance in the front yard!

There is a secret to a SUCCESSFUL RAIN DANCE . . . . . . Timing!

it never rains our house but just down the street
