It is an Anhinga, sometimes called a 'snake bird'.

They go in the water to catch fish so they sometimes look like a snake in the water. To make it easier for them to swim, they do not have oil on their wings like other birds, so you often see them sitting in a tree drying out their wings.

A Cormorant is very similar, at least to me, but their snout is shorter.

I think Florida is beautiful. We drove to Chitty Chatty yesterday to take a walk around their lake and we saw two river otters crossing the road.
