Here's my contribution:
  • I speak only one language... Engrish, but I speak six kinds of it!
  • I used to play a brass instrument without a mouthpeace, but gave it up many years ago when the mice in my house formed a union and got mice from other states to join in a strike!
  • I learned Morris code and obtained an amature radio license. However, when I found out that it took electricity to operate a radio, I had to give it up so I could continue to save $$$ to replace the out house.
  • I was a committee person in our local Liberal Party at one time, but I never attended a meeting, didn't know any of their members and never even met any of them either. (belive this or not, all this is true)
  • I learned to play the accordian as a kid, but gave it up when I developed an uncontrollable impulse to repeatedly say "a-one-er-ful, a-one-er-ful and ran out of beer for playing the beer barrel polka!"
Kidding aside, I really did play a number of different brass bugles from no valve w/slide to 3 valve in a number of marching drum & bugle corps. I also played the accordian as well as the tenor saxaphone, in both marching capacities and stage bands. Unfortunately, I gave them up many-many years ago. Besides I never was professional material! http://smileys.smilchat.net/smileys/music/trumpet.gif

Don't let UptownGirl get away with that answer, she is a fantastic artist (painter).

I also love to paint, love photography, am a talented dog groomer. Right now I'm painting a commission project, a large mural on canvas, 4.5feet x 16feet. Some of my pet photograhy is on our TOTV photo album.

Mr. K9 is a handyman supreme. He can fix anything. He was a professional hockey player in his young adulthood. He knows a lot about cars. He is also the kindest man I've ever met.

My talent lies mainly in musical theatre. This photo was from the last project I just completed. I played the role of Cassie in Chorus Line at the Savanah Center. I am currently in rehearsals for Oklahoma, which will be at the Savanah Center in April. (tickets just went on sale today!) I am playing the role of Laurie.

Here is a clip from a show that I did last year:

Hi Sue,
I'm so glad I finally got to hear you sing for the first time. It won't be the last!! You're terrific!

I bet you are better than you are giving yourself credit for, Trudy. And if not, who cares! You enjoy it, get something out of it and love it enough to continue. Some of my stuff is less than stellar also but I still am driven to create something.

I think back about all the teachers, experts, etc. who insist that things must be done their way. How much creativity was stiffled because of their attitudes? Some of us live to color outside the box and lines.

I read about a nationally known quilt instructor (Quilt Magazine) who kicked a student out of her class because she, the instructor, didn't like the color choices of the fabrics the student has chosen. The student, bless her heart, refused to change the color choices and the teacher kicked her out of class. Are you kidding me? How small minded can you be? It was the woman's project, she was going to have to live with it, why did it matter what fabrics she chose to use?

I hope you go on creating whatever it is you desire for as long as you can.

Double post. Oops!

Tom,
Maybe one of these days I'll be in your writers' group. Writing is one of my passions, and I run a writers' group here in CT.
Here is a link to one of my short stories on amazon.com: [ame]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TMLYBE/ref=cm_sw_r_fa_alp_bywJnb0VS3AP2?tag=533633855-20[/ame]

I like writing mysteries, too...and gentle horror stories.
Photography is another passion too. Here are two photos from my last village visit:

Looking forward to being with the creative minds of TV.

I had a collection of short stories published (sold 308 copies, now out of print) and I intend to put together another collection now that I have the time to market it correctly. After running two great writing workshops on LI, once I become a frog, I will try to find a group of serious writers in TV and start another group.

Beautiful photography, Tudacee! I'll see if I can download your book to my Nook.

My talent is sign language for the deaf and hearing-impaired

LittleDog 03-29-2011 08:40 PM

I am a musician and play the euphonium (baritone horn) and a trombone. I have been playing since 5th grade and currently play in the Villages Concert Band and the Lake Concert Band as well as the German band here in TV. I would love to add golf as a talent but unfortunately I stink at it.

Okay folks I'll share a view of my talents.

1. I make the most amazing Middle eastern foods and love to spoil my guests.

2. I'm an Avid golfer currently a 6. I love to play from the mens tees to torment the guys. It a new form of hit and giggle. I'm also called Double DD in my golf clubs. I love everything about golf, even the hideous shots. My attitude is- I could be picking strawberrys. What a great life I have. Pinch me.

3. I think I'm a grand grandma. My liitle Sirous is 15 months old and has had two open heart surgeries since birth. He is currently thriving and this grandma's job is to bring joy and love to his life. I'm just a big booby Granny giving Sirous giggles, toys, love and pure silliness to his challenged life. In reality he brings the joy to my life.

4. My fourth talent is being a wonderful wife to my cute, smart and devoted gorgeous husband. I still smile when the garage door opens and he's home.

5. Being resilient

Can't wait to see the progress too. Wow, what talent you and the others have.

My talent of claim is playing alto saxophone. High school, college and a little dance band experience. Lot of computer experience from previous jobs, especially PowerPoint, Word, etc. Not a geek by a long shot, but have created quite a number of PowerPoint presentations.

Thank you all for sharing your talents with us all. :BigApplause:

Built my own house, remodeled many houses. Guess my outside talent is handyman. My business talent was in engineering, system developement, purchasing as well as consulting for law firms. But all that is pasted and now I always wanted to learn to play something musicial.

According to Hubs, my greatest talents are shopping online and writing checks. Hmmmm When you live in the mountains of New Mexico and the only store around is WalMart, you have to shop online....
I think my talents are beading, making jewlery (just made wedding earrings for my niece), knitting and I love to do woodburning. I have decorated everything from furniture to the stocks of my hubby's guns.
