Yes, we need to be thankful for all the people that can and do leave home to provide essential services! I trust that they are are wise about their own safety and not at High risk. Villagers are a high risk group on average and some much higher than others. Villagers on average need to keep risks/contacts low. The caution shown in these replies seems fabulous to me. Your care helps keep the rest of us safe too. THANKS for your careful practices.

Very intelligent post. Thanks.

If you are an active type, try Beach Tennis or Pickleball. Easy to maintain distance at these games, you get sunshine and socialization time, so important these days.

Possibly with masks on? But, you WILL bang into each other at times. And sweating and yelling will blast out droplets. I would NOT do that , unless desperate for socialization, which many may be, unfortunately.

And if your husband wants to go party with his pals and come home to put you at risk, tell him to sleep on the lanai permanently.

You go! VERY straightforward advice. Sounds a little like my old drill instructor.

And who says that the Women's Liberation Movement has run its course. Burn those bras, baby! Get nude and rude, forget that dude.

I don't call it fear. I call it caution...because that's what it is. We are cautious, with our own rules that we are comfortable with, so we are pretty much doing as you are, except we aren't going into restaurants at all yet. Hubs goes and swims laps at pools that aren't near being crowded. I play pickleball with a small closed group of like minded ladies..it is really easy to social distance, bring your own chair , sanitize balls (and hands) after each game, and no high 5 ing, etc. Other than that, I play bridge with the duplicate bridge club, which has done an amazing job of setting up practice sessions and tournaments. If you don't have a regular partner, you can hop in with another table of comparable level or play with robots ...all online. We considered starting to have one of our couple friends over that we knew were doing the same guidelines, but they ended up leaving and going back north when Fl took the big spike and hospitals were getting full. So we are hapy with what we are doing for now. I choose to read almost every time I think I need to clean the house!!

Hubs is an AWESOME cook, so COVID has given me an extra 20 (I call it COVID20), so now I've started working out a home as well.

No bras to burn, I work my chest muscles and all is in place. My dude has a wife because he listens when he needs to. Friends are single (for good reason - don’t listen) and ride alone a lot, they get lonely, so try to hang out. Therefore I have to limit our times with them. Good friends though, helpful, fun etc many decades.

The lady in question with 97 friends is an OR nurse, and the 'friends' are the people she works alongside. She spends up to 16 hours a day masked and fully booted along with all the others fighting this virus.
They are all tested regularly.
Relax!

Good for you but sometimes someone could get it without realizing it. Found out today my youngest sister has antibodies. Who would have thought?
