Thanks ugotme! We are under mandatory evacuation by 4 PM today. Hard to leave and not know what we'll come back to, but safety is primary for all!

Just to update--Sandy is suppose to hit at 2am on Tuesday anywhere from south Jersey to LI. Gov Cuomo has just announced that all trains and buses will be suspended from 7pm TODAY. I've been living in NY for 60 yrs and I don't remember a decision to suspend trains and buses ever made so early.

Worrying too about all of you folks up there and there is a lot of you from the coast clear over to Ohio University in Southern Ohio where our grandson is.

Just spoke with a friend from LI, she said it appears a lot of people are leaving. Lots of campers on the LIE
