I have returned and my cub is now at the Inverness airport. Have much more to say but my my house is without water and Internet so am working with a lot of good people to get things working. Water water everywhere but not a drop to drink. And I did have the water turned off. What stories to tell about flying and the house

Why do you not have water? We all have water. I am glad you arrived safely, but you do have a lot of trouble mr. kid.

Someone hit the outside water valve between houses that caused water to gush both outside and in when I turned on the house water. As I was tired after flying I took to much time to check for leaks. Will stay at my brothers house waiting for things to dry and get fixed
Will tell you more when I dont have to use the phone. They claim no internet because of Matthew?

Sounds like you had better luck with the Cub than anything else. I guess I would take the problems with the house than the plane.

Flying the Cub was the easy part compared to opening the house after a three month leave. There is nothing quite like turning on the water to discover a leak that sends water through a wall into a bathroom, walk-in closet, and two bed rooms.

I want to thank The Villages Insurance rep who promptly returned my Sunday evening call for help. She arranged for Paul Davis Restoration to arrive early Monday morning to begin the drying out process. She also called ASI to start the insurance claim.

The plumber that the restoration firm contacted arrived today and fixed the short broken PVC pipe connector to the outdoor faucet. Two more days of drying, installing new wood trip strips and then painting should be all that is need to return our house to when we left it three months ago.

After this week of rest/problems, I will be anxious to again fly the Cub and take aerial pictures of the new areas of TV. Thanks for your concern and best wishes.
