There is a beautiful shrub called Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. It blooms from spring into summer. In 3 days, the flowers change from purple to lavender and then to white. Sounds like changes in life!

After golf yesterday, went to Piesanos (our fav pizza place) for lunch. Our Server was 'Dallas', a very nice young man. I noticed that he had tatoos on his arms. As usual, I asked if the tatts had a meaning for him. One arm was geometrical patterns, he likes geometry.

Other arm had, in cursive, "Yesterday Belongs to History, Tomorrow Belongs to God, Today Belongs to Me". Below was a simple graphic of the 7 continents. Above was "dots & dashes", as he told us was Morse code for the saying. I was so impressed - and he turned out to be a wonderful attentive server (and as usual the food was great).

So this morning I decided to make this tangible. Went into Powerpoint and imported a nice picture, entered the saying, printed it, found a frame, and viola'. I plan to send one to each of our 4 'kids' families across the USA (each with 2 grandkids each) - IMO a very powerful inspiring message to follow.

Also, yesterday is the ashes, tomorrow is the wood. Only today does the fire burn brightly. (Native American saying)

...Or decorate your bedroom at age 65 the same way you did when you were 16?

Dean. Did you get that entire pic from PPT, or did you have to clip and paste? TIA.

I always get my best inspiration from tattoos and The Ten Commandments.

Please include an extra print for Dallas himself, something to allow him to remember how much HE touched and influenced OTHERS!:bigbow:

I searched for an appropriate .jpg on line - I did want the photo to include only one person and the earth or such. Nice selection avail online and saved the .jpg. Went into powerpoint, opened a new slide. Imported that picture as a background, and added a text box with my entered saying - chose size color font etc etc. Kinda easy.

Yesterday, today and tomorrow belong to God. And in relationship with God we are a part of all three as well.

One should think carefully about where he/she puts their tattoos. I worked for 45 yrs as a hospital RN. 20-30 yrs & sagging skin does nasty things to them.

That's why I waited until I was old to get one. Lol

I have always been partial to "Compromise is the essence of human experience."
