Default You Know You're Old When ...

At a medical appointment yesterday, the Receptionist who greeted us was an absolutely beautiful young woman. I couldn't help but to say to her "You know you look just like a young Elizabeth Taylor". She answered "Who?" I repeated, "Elizabeth Taylor". She said you know another patient said that. I'm going to have to google her!

Next time try 'a young Wonderwoman, Lynda Carter'. If her name does not ring a bell you may need to find an even more recent name.

Thank you for the suggestion but the reason that won't work is that, although complimentary, I wasn't simply looking for a compliment. She didn't look like Lynda Carter and I can't think of anyone else, living or dead, past or present. With those violet eyes and extra thick eyelashes and ebony skin, she looked to me only like a young Elizabeth Taylor.

She can google it if she's interested. But I doubt she will. LOL

You know you're old when middle aged cashiers start calling you Honey and Sweetie.
