The NFL (which is beginning to stand for No Fans Left) has been deteriorating because it is played by man-children many of whom would be in jail or on the streets "but for". today's fans are rooting for empty suits. Team loyalty left this game the day Joe Namath first got his big paycheck. That was the beginning of the end for me with the NFL. NFL players being disrespectful toward our nation's flag cinched it for me.

Hey Cowcock - last year NFL viewership was down double digits.
The NFL controls all network cameras...they made the mistake of broadcasting some washed up quarterback that would not stand for the national anthem. Most Americans do not support that type of disrespectful protesting (right up there with flag burning). The year prior the NFL suspended players income for off the field actions deemed not NFL worthy...seems a bit hypocritical to me and a number of other former NFL fans.

Nice thing about the NHL; Those players will stand for 2 national anthems.
