Actually I would prefer a president elect be sworn in make a speech after taking the oath and retire to his/her private quarters to relax and be ready to begin the first day of work running. I avoid glitz and the mutual admiration society of hypocrites fawning over one another whether its Washington or Hollywood. Events such as this are always financed by other peoples money. I'm a guy who learned and loved to work but never cared to play. I am happiest when I am productive.

Bush's high mark came immediately after 9/11 and he was simply the recipient...of overwhelming patriotism by American citizens. :oops:

He11, had OJ Simpson been POTUS...he would have received the same short-lived high approval rating. :1rotfl:

What is more important (and indicative of the truth), is that The Shrub slunk out of office... with a 22% approval rating. ;)

Is there some point to your trying to justify your comment with nonsense? Popularity polls do not ask anyone WHY they give the person a high rating, retard. THey don't even ask Obama about his getting where he is today via Affirmative Action, because he could not do it on merit.

Bush had the higher of the two in polls, just like I said. It doesn't matter when he had it, he just did and Obama has never achieved it.

Popular votes aren't won. Because if popular votes won, then Hitlery the felon would be president next week. And close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.
Hitlery does not get a participation award for second place.
