Default 8 Year Old Shoots Sister

In Jacksonville, an 8 year old found a loaded (no good if not loaded, of course) pistol while his mother was out shopping - and shot his 5 year old sister. She died.

The news did not say where the pistol was but obviously not locked up in a drawer - as it would be useless if locked up.

Obviously, more rules or laws would not have helped so that is not the answer.

Charge the parent with manslaughter? Remove the child permanently? Just say, "stuff happens, too bad"? What is appropriate?

Illegal gun owned and left in the house by a convicted felon. If the mother wants to date a convicted felon she needs to expect that something like this could happen.

It's unlikely that a responsible legal gun owner would do something like this. Hopefully this idiot serves some serious time.

Like the NRA always says, the only thing that will stop a bad 8 year old with a gun is a good 8 year old with a gun.

View it from the prospective of that youngster and the example set by her parents, by Hollywood, by the news reports. all kids have been seeing for decades is violence and glorified and detailed violence from Hollywood .

If I were rearing a child in today's world television viewing would be tightly controlled and my involvement in school very active because both can be detrimental to your child's well being.

Personal Best Regards:

They're BLACK...need we say more? Blacks are NOT known for their "smarts". Euthanize all involved...it's a good start.

The BEST thing you can do for your child and their education is to get as far away from blacks/Hispanics as possible.

Kids will be kids. What's the big deal?

Why make this a gun control issue? Let's talk about bad driving in The Villages. How many auto accidents occurred in the past week?
