I am, because that would stop a lot of illegal invaders from crossing the border unlawfully. If they are breaking the law, they should pay the penalty.

I wouldn't feel sorry for a guy robbing a bank to feed his kids, so I am not going to feel sorry for people that are too impatient to stand in line like other good immigrants. And I am not going to feel sorry for a guy that wishes to save money by hiring illegals.

Excellent, we're on the same page then.

Now, please explain why your party is loathe to even mention putting those people who hire illegal's in jail?

Let's start with the developer here...shall we? ;)

Or did you really think all those people working here, are actually legal American citizens...that just can't speak English? :1rotfl:

So go ahead and state it, that you are FOR putting the Morse family in jail...for hiring undocumented workers. :coolsmiley:

I'll wait.

You liberals say you are pro-union and then you want to undercut them with illegals. You are hypocrites.

Are you sober?

You really think it is just those on the left...that want to continue to use low-paid workers?

Are you even slightly cognizant of the conservative business community...that love having undocumented workers to increase their profit margin?

More importantly, are you ready to pay a higher price for everything from farm products, to golf....to your amenity fees?

I am. :ho:

Open borders, we can all see how well it's working!
The answer is simple, secure our borders and
enforce all of our current immigration laws!
Who do you think is paying for SNAP and many other
welfare costs!

Guest 09-12-2016 07:47 PM

Dems want the Hispanic vote, so they do nothing
to stem the flow of illegals.
Repub business interests want cheap labor so
they also do nothing.
Basically, that's why Trump appeals to millions of
Americans fed up with the lack of action!

Guest 09-12-2016 07:51 PM

Your post is so rambling, incoherent and an obvious attempt at obfuscation...I'll have to break it up to save you. :D

When, you talk about subsidies to billion dollar companies you are talking about CORPORATIONS.

First of all a corporation is a paper document NOT A HUMAN BEING.

And this has what to do with anything?

Or maybe you think that upper management of these corporations don't get a big piece of their enumeration from stock options...that are tied directly to profits?

Hint, these folks ARE HUMAN BEINGS. :ohdear:

Quote:

Posted by Guest (Post 1287725)
The money that a corporation earns is distributed to the owners-STOCKHOLDERS-and they pay tax on that money.

That is correct.

So now you're saying that you prefer to have those American taxpayers that DON'T own these stocks...to subsidize YOUR investment income?

How selfish are you?

GE a major blue chip company paid zero or close to zero tax. How could that be-you ask. Due to GOVERNMENT tax policies all kinds of tax breaks were given to companies involved in our current HYSTERIA for green energy. GE is one of the largest manufacturers of wind turbines, the government tax breaks reduces the tax that GE pays.

Wrong again.

The main reason they didn't pay any taxes a few years ago, was because they were shielding it in other countries.

Here...want proof? ;)

General Electric Avoids Taxes By Keeping $108 Billion Overseas | Huffington Post

Quote:

The company with the most profits parked overseas is General Electric, according to a new Bloomberg analysis of 83 corporations.

GE said in a Feb. 26 regulatory filing that it was holding $108 billion in profits overseas as of the end of last year. That is up from $102 billion a year before. GE said in the filing that it reinvested most of these profits in foreign business operations and does not intend to bring those profits back to the U.S.

But hey, you don't give a $hit if they hide it in other countries as long as your dividend income is maintained a high level...right?

And for those who don't know, dividend income from stocks are either tax-free...or taxed at a much lower rate than personal income.

So once again, you're simply being selfish...and UN-American.

Quote:

MORE FACTS FOR YOU-I own stock in GE. I bought it with INCOME on which I had already paid INCOME TAX ON. I bought it because it has a good DIVIDEND. I am currently paying my living expenses with stock dividends. Even that money-dividends on stocks purchased with already taxed money-DOES NOT COME TO ME TAX FREE.

So I was dead on, when I said you want American taxpayers that don't own stock to subsidize YOUR dividends?

And although GE doesn't employee that many undocumented workers compared to corp's such as MickeyD's, Walmart, Etc...your same logic applies.

You think it's just fine that hard working American citizens, who don't own these stocks, should share in subsidizing them...so you can maximize YOUR dividends/stock appreciation?

Not that I'm surprised, as this type of flaming hypocrisy...is a base platform of Republicans/conservatives.

I will guess from your post that you have a pension of some kind.

Throughout history no one wants to pay tax, Yet, everyone wants to get the benefits paid for with tax collected. REALIZE-IF YOU DO AS i HAVE GUESSED HAVE A PENSION, A 401K, A 403B-UNLIKE ME WHAT YOU ARE RECEIVING IS ON UN-TAXED MONEY.

We both chose a path-HOW DARE YOU THINK MY PATH AND NOT YOURS SHOULD BE TAXED.

Here's where you are so goofy, that you don't even understand what I've been saying.

It is perfectly acceptable to me to have my investment income reduced...and have these companies pay a living wage to their workers.

I simply see it as my patriotic duty, to sacrifice a little for a higher good...and pay a living wage to American citizens.

Why are you so selfish?

Never mind, that was a rhetorical question, as after all... you're a Republican/conservative and that flaming hypocrisy comes naturally.

"I got mine, screw you" ...right?

Illegal immigrants benefit the U.S. economy | TheHill

Quote:

But what about the immense strain on social services and money spent on welfare for these law breakers?

The Congressional Budget Office in 2007 answered this question in the following manner: “Over the past two decades, most efforts to estimate the fiscal impact of immigration in the United States have concluded that, in aggregate and over the long term, tax revenues of all types generated by immigrants—both legal and unauthorized—exceed the cost of the services they use.”

According to the New York Times, the chief actuary of the Social Security Administration claims that undocumented workers have contributed close to 10% ($300 billion) of the Social Security Trust Fund.

OUCH...that's gonna leave a large bruise. :1rotfl:

YES. There has already been a study of how much more the average household would have to spend per year to compensate for the higher price of not having Illegals in the work force. It's outdated now, but it was not even noticeable any more than a bit of inflation.
On the other hand, how many billion is wasted because of all the illegals in our country? I forgot what it comes to but I do remember thinking that just one year's worth of savings could pay to build Trump's wall.
Yes, prosecute anyone knowingly hiring an illegal. If enough are jailed, we won't have an illegal alien invasion problem anymore.

Suit yourself. It seems that you are calling someone else lazy when it is you that doubts the veracity of the comment. It's reminiscent of a child saying "nuh uhh!" or even a teen saying "not true." In a discussion, if you wish to dispute someone's statement, it works a lot better if you have evidence to DISPROVE them. But, you are very good at snide remarks, not so good at facts.

The post was correct, you have to have the last word. Bet your husband, past or present is glad you are on here instead of with him.

Good use of a "reliable source".

Using contaminated food to serve in a restaurant.

Statement from owner....all our food is federally innspected by USDA.......

and now for the use and abuse of "reliable sources"......the food failed inspection.....which would obviously be witheld from the public ( restaurant owner...H. Clinton).
