Regardless of whether you like President Trump or not, I would offer some food for thought on the subject of America and the relationship with Russia.

My opinion is that it is better to be friends with Russia than enemies. Being friends does not mean anything nefarious. Just seems to be a better approach than to be mortal enemies as in the past.

One thing I base this on, is that right now we have no other means of transportation for our astronauts to the International Space Station, both to and from. Do we really want to abandon that and leave it entirely in the hands/control of the Russians? If these guys on there can get along, why can't the entire countries?

All kinds of things are done in cooperation. Science, culture, business... Don't be fooled by the propaganda.
