Amazing what a person with a lot of time on their hands and four degrees and the connections made while getting these can do if they also have a very good story behind this effort.

I would have showed this letter and many others to the University of California San Francisco Health Sciences Campus researcher/interviewer Myra Young when I was subject #613 in a 17 week study on stress on the unemployed in late 1992-1993. Ms. Young waited until the study was done to tell me I had a good cause.

I would have sent many of these letters to many other places in the 1990s trying to start an international movement with respect to the practical needs of a survivor/victim of crime who walks into a library looking for materials to help herself or himself deal with what informational needs they might have. Or , just looking on the Internet for what he or she might find. Of course, these needs shift with developments in technology with respect to what is out there as well as what kind of crimes are involved.

4564 views now as of 5/20/2017. I hope this counts each new person to look at these documents or at least some of them. I am only showing a few of these items on this thread. There are many more of course. 26 years generates quite a lot of paper work even if most of this work would have been in hundreds of thousands of e-mails and posts on Findlaw's various message boards from 2002 through 2006. Lots of these e-mails were using the AOL Government Guide. Services And many e-mails went to shows in the major networks including FOX, ABC, NBC, and CBS. News anchors, writers, lawyers, victim/witness assistance providers, librarians, psychiatrists, psychologists, etc. I especially liked writing e-mails to College and University newspapers. Some of these still resurface every once in a while. One to Brandeis University's The Justice in 2003 re-emerged around 2011 and was up for a year or more and one to Villanova U is still around even though I sent it around 2003.

Sounds like Alice in Wonderland. One pill to make you big; the other to make you small.

The 224 613 Project is my effort based on my experiences dealing with the Michelle Mitchell 2-24-1976 murder in Reno, Nevada to get practical materials for survivors/victims of crimes into or accessible through libraries of all kinds. 613 is my number in a 17 week study on stress on the unemployed conducted by the University of California, SF Health Sciences campus in late 1992-1993. I had used these two numbers 224 and 613 from late 1992 onward to create an international dialog-- which is still going on-- about the practical needs of survivors of crimes. I am using contacts made over the last 41 years starting in Reno, Nevada to do this. Part of these contacts come from the institutions where in earned four degrees and had started work on getting two others. 2-24 is also my birthday.

The people I have tried to get involved include movie directors, news anchors, movie stars, victim/witness assistance providers, CEOs, politicians, writers, psychiatrists, social workers, physicians, nurses, Presidents, Vice-Presidents, First Ladies, lawyers, publishers, the FBI, Interpol, librarians, etc.

Reminder of why I started becoming interested in access to practical materials for survivors/victims of crimes in or through libraries. Gypsy Hill killings - Wikipedia

4613 views as of 12:42 PM 5/21/2017. Neat. I hope I can get to 5000 soon. I had 300 views sometimes in one day on my other location which now has 23,654 people looking at it I assume.

From one of the linked articles above:

On Tuesday, Rodney Lynn Halbower, 68, pleaded not guilty to killing 18-year-old Veronica Cascio and 17-year-old Paula Baxter in 1976. Judge Donald Ayoob set Halbower’s bail at $10 million and scheduled his trial for Aug. 21, according to prosecutors

Just watched the 2016-2017 Season finale of The Blacklist and really liked the numbers I saw in it. Pretty damn cool. :024: Have seen these in other episodes of The Blacklist as well and familiar scenes from when I visited Washington, D.C. in 2015 about two years ago. Would not mind going back there for a while.

One of the responses I received from US Representatives in Congress back in 1991 when I was complaining about attitudes I found at the U of MN Law Library and School about respect for survivors/victims of crimes and those who wanted to help them.

The most disappointing response I got was from the then Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee that Cheshire Cat Senator Joe Biden.

Rosa DeLauro - Wikipedia

One of the letters I got in 1991. And there was that very disappointing one from the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Joe Biden. Remember that this is about basically the attitudes in the legal profession towards people with very real experiences with the legal system and its handling of survivors/victims of crimes. I had earned four degrees with these experiences.

This was nice to get and still is very relevant to the Villages.

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...psfyqtypov.jpg

It is from Judith Bowman Senior Program Specialist on AARP's Women's Initiative.

It seems that the problem is at the Photobucket site. They have been having troubles since 5/22/2017. Various people are complaining about it on there contact message board.
