I just posted a story with very little comment. I knew all the "usual suspects" would continue to pile on Ann Romney and attack the author's conclusions. You never disappoint. |

I can think of two exceptions....when our country was attacked IN THE NAME of a religion, and the situation with Wright, although that was a limited discussion and only came about as a result of the pastors condemnation of the country. Other than that...my religion is NONE of your business and your religion is NONE of my business. In this case, Romney was forced to have a full blown press outing to address the Mormon religion in 2008, and the Obama thing was not about the actual black liberation faith. It is hard for me to believe that we had two posters go right for the religion thing. Haven't we had enough hate without attacking something so personal. Ann Romney nor Micehlle Obama are running for nothing.....Michelle Obama has pretty much been lleft alone, campaign and time in the WH. The Ann Romney thing is only being discussed because somebody came after her by name. Lets talk politics....not religion. |

"The BuzzFeed homepage consists of a time-sequential list of posts from users and staff members. The content of the posts is usually either a video, image, or link. These posts are the site's attempt to capture the essence of viral media currently resonating on the web. On Fridays, the website hosts a battle, where users are challenged to post the best, most time-wasting Flash game. Other posts are compendiums of memes or images that are all similar to each other in some way. Occasionally there are quizzes, but these posts are infrequent" "BuzzFeed Labs are an ongoing effort on the part of the BuzzFeed editors to track, test, and to sometimes create viral media. Past efforts have included: attempting to break a beer bottle in half for use as a shiv in a bar fight, citizen journalism investigating a fire on the Manhattan Bridge, and the creation of a giant energy malt liquor drink using a forty ounce beer and a can of Red Bull. These labs are conducted sporadically and have no set release schedule." Point is this is not a webstie that I, personally, would visit or most certainly use a validation as they are attempting to be "on the edge" |

snopes.com: Who Is Barack Obama? Many of the other attacks on him are based on connections he has with rather radical Christian African-American leaders. Namely Pastor Jeremiah Wright. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremiah_Wright |

Or did I just miss your posts on them, Or maybe you just agree |

When he speaks to the American people about religion it comes off as very phoney in my view. |

Do not know the man Barack Obama all that well never having read any of his books. The Clintons seemed to use religion as another accessory they can take on or off as they please. |
Richie, I enjoyed the article, which I assume is a blog. The writer, although maybe in need of a copy editor to correct grammatical mistakes, has interesting and thought provoking points. Discrediting someone's views because of a misplaced apostrophe is so silly it isn't worth arguing.
Anyway, the point about Isreali kibbutz as a failed experiment is very much like Eleanor Roosevelt's failed social experiment in Authurdale, West Virginia. It has always saddened me to see babies put into government funded daycare. I realize it isn't a choice for some mothers, but it doesn't make it any less disheartening to me. Nor does the fact that women on the left would devalue a woman's choice to not go outside the home to take on extra work. |
Thanks BK. I enjoyed the article also, and thought it was well thought out.
I knew others would only read into it what they wanted, though. |
