Because most all you lefties are knee jerk partisans, and you can't have any thought out there that differs with progressive doctrine.

I just posted a story with very little comment. I knew all the "usual suspects" would continue to pile on Ann Romney and attack the author's conclusions.

You never disappoint.

They can't help themselves. Religion is an obstacle to the primacy of the state. Progressives see that as "evil".

Posters on this forum had no problem debating President Obama's religion for the past five years.

Shouldn't motherhood be glorified? Did you like your mother?

I am very uncomfortable going after religion and of course won't do it. If it has to do with anything relative to the position a man or woman is running for, then you "might" want to address it. But on this forum the attacks on religion scare me because I am living near people who actually think that way and that is scary.

I can think of two exceptions....when our country was attacked IN THE NAME of a religion, and the situation with Wright, although that was a limited discussion and only came about as a result of the pastors condemnation of the country.

Other than that...my religion is NONE of your business and your religion is NONE of my business.

In this case, Romney was forced to have a full blown press outing to address the Mormon religion in 2008, and the Obama thing was not about the actual black liberation faith.

It is hard for me to believe that we had two posters go right for the religion thing. Haven't we had enough hate without attacking something so personal. Ann Romney nor Micehlle Obama are running for nothing.....Michelle Obama has pretty much been lleft alone, campaign and time in the WH. The Ann Romney thing is only being discussed because somebody came after her by name.

Lets talk politics....not religion.

I just said that in a "poking" way, but the President is a statist. The government is his religion. He's in the process of "religious reform" as we speak.

When he speaks to the American people about religion it comes off as very phoney in my view.

Do not know the man Barack Obama all that well never having read any of his books. The Clintons seemed to use religion as another accessory they can take on or off as they please.

Richie, I enjoyed the article, which I assume is a blog. The writer, although maybe in need of a copy editor to correct grammatical mistakes, has interesting and thought provoking points. Discrediting someone's views because of a misplaced apostrophe is so silly it isn't worth arguing.

Anyway, the point about Isreali kibbutz as a failed experiment is very much like Eleanor Roosevelt's failed social experiment in Authurdale, West Virginia. It has always saddened me to see babies put into government funded daycare. I realize it isn't a choice for some mothers, but it doesn't make it any less disheartening to me. Nor does the fact that women on the left would devalue a woman's choice to not go outside the home to take on extra work.
