America is apparently devolving into the dumbest, most suicidal society in history.
However, the solutions are straightforward ... build the wall, encourage legal immigration but only from people who can contribute ... then elect a leader who will not put up with any mindless bs, build the military back and incentivize work.
One more think ... halt Muslim immigration and encourage the growth of Christianity, while encouraging the self-selected deportation of all groups who hate the Country they live in ...ie hard core liberals for examples, plus Black Panther-types, La Raza and CAIR.
That will pretty much fix this otherwise sorry state of stupidity in which we find ourselves.

I think perhaps you are talking a bit overboard here.
Problem, as I see it, is all of these situations existed for years. We have always had people wanting to come here and we always had a percentage of illegals. There has always been a border that was suspect. We have always had a debate on how much military, how much public funds used for poor and the actual definition of whom we should help with government funds.
We have always had racial discourse and other.
Problem is, from my perspective, is that this has all become politics. Today, the democratic party is trying to umbrella everyone and to accelerate the speed in which things are done. Why.....the need to accelerate in order to satisfy the groups they have politicized. They were warned this would happen or could happen in the late 70's, but were intoxicated with the voting blocks.
We have lost the art of reasonable discussion to reach a middle ground and by making it so political we have made it more complicated than it needs to be.
We, as a nation, are catering to anyone that might bring in votes. In doing that we have made two sides....not one country and as long as we do this, we will make these problems bigger than they need to be.
How to fix ? I honestly have no suggestions. This mood is out of the bottle. If you defend the poor, you are a wimpy lib who wants to spend my money. If you want the rule of law to be upheld, you are a Fox junkie who is living in the past. How about a discussion to help the poor and enforcing the laws or changing them without the political consequences of doing what you are elected to do ? Oversimplified ? Of course it is, but we are (we = liberals and conservatives) are running away from each other at warp speed. PLEASE I have my opinion on who is doing the running but my intent was not to foster more anti this or that but to point out that all these problems existed, and were handled in the past, but without the need to get on television and threaten politicians with no voting blocks.
Media is another subject but if we got back to the rule of law, and reasonable non politicized discussion, who needs them :)
