It takes a while to pay off a five trillion dollar unnecessary war when you put it on the credit card.

It also takes a while to pay off the $10 trillion Obama put on the card too.

Syria is "necessary"? Because they TOLD you it was?

a satisfied liberal-there is no such animal.
Buy your own damn coloring book, play dough and go find a quiet corner to sulk in.

I started this thread to point out how people skew words to their own agenda i.e. The majority of Americans voted for Hillary. Not true - the majority of people who cast a ballot voted for Hillary. So to say she was the will of the people could or could not be true. Also I am not a liberal probably much more conservative than you. Totally believe in supply and demand but also know that won't work with any interference like regulations because then it is no longer supply and demand. And finally I'll bet you I can color between the lines far better than you. Wanna try?

Congress controls the purse strings, not the president.

Interesting post.

I just completed reading "The Smartest Guys in the Room" by Bethany McClean. It is about the Enron build up, stealing and fraud and its ultimate collapse.

I honestly was 100% non regulation but this book along with a few other things read recently lead me to begin to doubt.

For example, Enron used de regulation to spread...ON PURPOSE...the rolling blackouts and the obscene increases in utility bills in California, while they...again ON PURPOSE did this to line their pockets with millions and millions of dollars. They used DE REGULATION for their own gain and the consumer loss.

Think I will take case by case instead of FOR or AGAINST regulation.

There are many who will take advantage of the consumer.

Going to wait and watch

As to the election, i am frankly sort of tired of the constant rehash. As they say....it is what it is....its over and lets get on with the country's business.

In California Hillary won enough votes...supposedly...to "beat" Trump in the overall election. California has almost 40 million people and almost most of them are Hispanic. Hillary got a LOT of votes in CA. Million more than Trump. Take CA, (Mexico II) out of the equation and Hillary got trounced. Take all the large, minority infested, cities out...and there wasn't even a race. THAT is your division in America...city women and minorities...vs...everyone else. They're taking over, even smaller towns have growing minority populations.

There are already laws to stop anyone from going too far.

Congress works for the corporations who reap handsomely from their campaign "investment" with government contracts and favorable tax laws. Congressmen are nothing but loan sharks...giving out borrowed taxpayer money for a vig.

How many laws already on the books did they break? We have ENOUGH laws. What we NEED is punishment for these white collar criminals. They live on federal country club "prisons" in relative luxury. They need death or HARSH punishment. Send a message to thieving CEOs and politicians, you get caught, stealing from the taxpayer, you're going to hang.

When you get caught...you hang. It would cut down on a LOT of these crimes. Just like "war crimes"..."against the people" crimes. You hang.

All the "conspirators" were tried. Jeff Skilling still serving time, etc.

Yeah, they got caught, they were punished.

Does not bring back the millions and millions that folks lost in their IRA. Does not bring back the money lost in California, and the lives lost as a result of the manufactured roll outs, done because of de regulation.

These are the halcyon days Trump wants to take us back to as soon as he can get his shredder in the West Wing and do away with the Consumer Protection Agency set up by Sen Elizabeth Warren.

Once he gets rid of Dodd-Frank, banks will be free to do exactly what they did to cause the great recession.

Yea - you are smarter than the average poster here. You are kind of describing a monopoly which is proof of supply and demand theory. If you can't let the supply compete with each other then the seller instead of the buyer dictates the terms. However there are situations that are impractical to have a free for all on the supply side. Perhaps like a national grid. Which probably will then call for regulation. Maybe there is such a thing as too big to fail or would that be too big and certain to screw us. Ever notice we hear very little about anti trust laws ?

Go back and read the very first post - you are the very reason I started this thread - Hillary was not the choice of majority of American voters neither was Donald. I did not vote for either. I challenge the fact that this rally was to inform us (me) that Hillary is the choice of Americans. What about the Americans who didn't vote ? How about legit under vote age US citizens. They are still citizens too just are not old enough to vote. Slow down and read the message. Now let's expand this what kind of system would you accept for a popular vote and believe what America's choice is when the media gets to tell you what the results are before half the population gets to the poles and the other half did not have the same advantage.

The world was gloomy before he won - there was no hope. Now the market is up nearly 10% and Christmas spending is over a trillion dollars!

I posted WAY before you did that on average presidents are chosen by 17% of the population.

My system is an electoral college type...1 vote per state, whomever wins the state gets the states vote. It's a fixed vote for whomever won the state, no "faithlessness". Whomever wins 26 states, wins the presidency. IF there happens to be a tie, 25 to 25, THEN the popular vote wins. There is no reason for a populous state by no other virtue than location and size, should negate the vote of 15 states. Are blacks 3/5ths of a vote? Then why is Wyoming 1/15th of California?
