You had better check on the religious beliefs of the patriots who started this country. How many times is God mentioned in the Constitution? Check out Natural Law. Post your findings. We await your post

How many slaves did Martha and George Washington have? Did they enjoy liberty and pursuit of liberty? Just asking.

Dear Guest: I didn't say God was mentioned in the U S Constitution. I said that the founders predicated our freedoms based on the fact that they were given to us by God. It was their way of saying freedom wasn't something a monarch had the right to decide and or ration.

People from the beginning of time and until Lincoln's great Emancipation believed slavery was a natural event. Heck in some parts of the world they still believe slavery is a natural event.

For example at the turn of the century in America some men leaving a room occupying the presence of a woman would back out because it was disrespectful to turn your back to a woman. Remember before women began burning their bras it was considered polite to hold open the door for a lady. And remember that it was once proper to have a man courting a woman visit in her bed of course with a board partitioned between them because homes were very cold back then.

Men dueled to protect their honor or that of a lady. so before you judge you may want to learn what was the law, the custom or the fashion at the time.

And finally you better hope that God doesn't go out of vogue because if it happens government is going to fill that vacuum very quickly and we know that government is not all knowing and all wise

Personal Best Regards

Friend, you are speaking to the choir. That young guy you/we are replying to is a young student know it all, that is too good to believe in a deity. He is on here only to harass us seniors because he thinks it's fun. He is not literate enough to have an informed conversation and thinks that his basket weaving classes will get him by in the real world.
Personally, I pity anyone without faith in our creator, because they are just one or two steps away from becoming like the one that shot those news employees. I have yet to meet anyone that is without faith, that was also a happy and content person. But, that is my opinion.
