A pfc knows how to fill and pile sandbags. He would not have access to commo codes, planned operations, etc. those are made available to nco's and officers.

Bergdahl never should have been sent to Afghanistan. An Army shrink could have determined that fact. How long was Bergdahl in the Army before going to Afghanistan? He was only a pfc. With normal advancement, he should have been an E-4 by that time. Guys usually make E-3 out of AIT now and E-4 six months later.

Paint it any way one would like.
He abandoned his post.
He went to the enemy.
His comrades in arms know the details.

What we are dealing with now is the "team" is now going to do what ever it can to make sure Obama does not look like he screwed the pooch.

Let us hope that military justice does not go the way of the DOJ where laws are selectively enforced.

Not being able to edit allows far too much icorrect spelling, geammar, etc.

It is noteable in a world full of events that affect our lives the lack of varying subjects posted. WHile school yard like bickering continues for days/weeks.

Back on topic, just by saying Bergdahl may get a plea deal with no jail time - as discussed on the news - or saying he was mentally unfit to go to Afghanistan - does not mean Bergdahl is a hero. He is not a hero. He was a confused kid who did not want to fight anymore and took the only way out a confused kid could think of. Wrong way, for sure, but not a traitor. Deserter but not a traitor.

There have been a many confused kids that served in the military throughout our history that did not want to fight, but they didn't desert.

I get it, he deserted and it's someone else's fault. With liberals, it always is.
