You have to beat them into submission and then beat them a little more to let them know that we are serious. Yes, they ARE very brave and well trained men (and women). I knew quite a few in Baghdad in 2003. They seemed so young, but old in the eyes and professional in their demeanor. Total respect. Even the General and Pat Kennedy seemed young in comparison to me.

It's time that we got away from that police action mentality when we fight a war. It's time to cut loose the dogs and let them fight as they were trained, dirty if necessary and to win. You can't reason with fanatics and these Muslim radicals are fanatics.

My guess is if you were paying for this war instead of our grandchildren paying for it you wouldn't be such a tough American patriot. Our enemy is spending 1 dollar to our every 1000 dollars and we are not smart enough to know how they are going to bring us to our knees. I for one believe this forum would not be quite as hawkish if we had a balanced budget and had to pay for Everything going on the credit card.
