This is interesting. They were eight good years for the pocketbook.

Hillary Clinton says she'll name Bill as economy czar
by Chris Isidore***@CNNMoney

If she's elected president, Hillary Clinton says she'll appoint her husband, Bill, to oversee the economy.

During a speech in Kentucky Sunday she referred to "my husband, who I will put in charge of revitalizing the economy 'cause he knows what he's doing."

The U.S. economy boomed during President Clinton's administration. His economic record is an effective selling point, especially as U.S.*growth remains sluggish, and most*voters worried about the economy.

During Clinton's eight years as president, the U.S. economy added more than 22 million jobs. That's slightly more jobs than were added during the combined 22-year tenure of the four most recent Republican presidents.

In the spring of 2000, Clinton's final year in office, a greater percentage of Americans had jobs than any time since records started being kept soon after World War II.

Paid for with stolen SS trust fund money...he used accounting tricks to "balance" the budget. He still had deficits each year. He just went in debt slower because he had access to all the SS money.

They're all thieving liars. Stealing for their friends and themselves from the taxpayers.

That's why I can't vote for either and always vote Libertarian, I want to decide who I share the fruits of my labor with.

Bush W had what economists considered FULL EMPLOYMENT during his tenure. Before the Dems took control of congress the last two years of his second term, he had less than 5% unemployment rate. Having jobs created is a real nice feature, IF YOU NEED IT. But, since we had full employment, why would creating jobs really matter that much? If you glass is already full, you need not fill it any further. So, if you have more jobs than you can fill, you will have to import labor.

So, next you will want to brag about Clinton's surplus myth. Before you do, please tell me how much Clinton was able to pay down on the national debt? Here, let me answer that for you,,,,,,ZERO, zilch, nada, none. If he had a surplus, he would have paid down on the national debt and I know he didn't because the last president that paid down on the national debt was Eisenhower, a REPUBLICAN.

The core of Bernie's platform is the extremely wealthy, like Buffet and Trump should be paying a much higher percentage instead of a much lower percentage. Trump did a bait and switch on many people.
The investment strategy in Trump's books are that you never use your own money--you always use other people's money.

He said he was self funding.

If he suggests using other peoples money, then he should get a lot of Democrat votes. :pepper2:

The Administration of Slick Willie -- the guy with the " zipper problem " benefited from the economic pump which had been created by the Reagan Administration .
Mr. Clinton presided over the beginning of the shift of jobs outside of the uS and he did nothing to try to stop or impede it .
The man was famous for never spending much time at all working . The most time he spent in the Oval Office was for late night " Trysts ".
