NO!

Richie
At this point in time, I think ANYONE could beat Obama in 2012..... therefore if Sarah Palin is running I would say most definitely ...... YES!
I'm keeping my eye on Michele Bachmann too..... a very smart lady.

i don't think Palin can win because the press has destroyed her. They tend to do this with anyone that is a threat. The press picked the Repub candidate, in 2008. I think they figured he would be the easiest to beat. If he happened to win at least he was, by far, the most liberal Republican running. As soon as he got the nomination they turned on him. No surprise.
Annabelle, I'm a big Bachmann fan, also. As of now I would like to see a Romney / Bachmann ticket.

You're right about the media's role in 2008, but it seems things have changed as evidenced by the results of the last election. Candidates that the major media denigrated won, and their chosen candidates who got the golden treatment lost in many races. Don't think they don't realize what happened. This is why Jay Rockefeller is up in arms about getting Fox News off the air again on "fairness" concerns. He doesn't want the left's message diluted.

Palin vs Obama - we would be back to an unknown (Palin) vs a known (Obama). Since I know what Obama can and has done to us, I would have to go with Palin.

I know you said Palin vs Obama but what if it is Palin vs Hillary Clinton? I am sure that she still aspires to be president.

YESSSS!! Hillary can succeed with her intelligence, experience, tenacity, and dedication.... to return this country to it's rightful place as a strong, powerful nation.

That would be like Nightmare on Elm Street movies where you wake up from one nightmare and find yourself in another; iiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

I think just about anybody that runs can beat Obama in 2012 unless he makes a radical move to the center over the next 2 years. He campaigned as a centrist but governs from the far left. He is an idealogue and will never move to the center lik Clinton did in 1994.

I have said before, I don't think he will run for reelection in 2012 or he just wouldn't have said and done some of the things he has said and done the past 2 years.

Obama is smarter than Pelosi. He knows his record doesn't cut it and will move more to the center as much as it hurts. My biggest fear is that Palin will get the nomination and it may cost the Rep. the election. I really like her as a person and mother. I'm sick and tired of seeing her holding a baby and having her family behind her though. All that family stuff doesn't cut it with Iran, N. Korea, China, and the Russians. I think she would make a good president as she was a good governor, but doubt she'd win an election for president. I'd vote for her, but there are several others that I'd rather see running and would have a better chance. My prediction for the far future is John Boehner for president. I really like this guy. He even looks like a president.

Wasn't it Palin's endorsement that got her elected? Why have hamburg when steak is available?

as Christine O'Donnell. Sometimes I think people who live in The Villages think everyone out there thinks as they do. This is a big country, and in may places people like Bachmann are considered to be complete screwballs. Palin couldn't even get her senate candidate elected in her home state. If the Republicans are smart they will nominate Romney, and have him run with a Condi Rice or someone of that ilk. I've had lifelong conservatives tell me that they would never vote for Palin. I suppose anything is possible. David Gergen recetly said that the only way Palin could beat Obama is if unemployment goes to 14-15%, and it doesn't look like that will happen. Are conservatives so desperate to regain the WH that they would nominate someone as ill-prepared as Palin. Obama may not have had the necessary experience, but there is no way you can question his intelligence or his temperament. Palin is neither smart, nor is she emotionally stable. I've read articles written by conservatives who describe her as paranoid, and almost delusional. She is not he answer.
