At least 90% of African Americans will vote for President Obama, most Hispanics will, most people under 35 will, most college educated will, most economically deprived will, most Democrats will, and most people with an IQ of 115 and above will all vote for Obama.:boxing2:

If Republicans put any kind of extremist or TeaBag darling up on any part of the ballot, a very large of Republican voters will either vote Democrat or stay home.

This will give another 4 years to President Obama.:a040:

For a guy I've respected and who's posts I usually liked for their wit, even while I disagreed with them, you've regressed.

Someone who'll use that hated term only a degenerate would use to describe the Tea Party has no right to call anyone an "extremist". You've demeaned yourself and the right to have anyone respect what you say. It's a reversion to the bomb throwing you did in your earlier days. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Your not really saying anything substantial anymore. Why are you doing this?

Tonight CNN ran an old interview, Piers Morgan interviewing Christie in June. His wife and two older children joined the interview. Nice family. Christie may have a husky build (which they discussed), but he is smart and well spoken and has a great sense of humor. Oprah has been fighting a weight battle for years and it hasn't hurt her popularity. They didn't discuss policies in any depth, but Katz, he is against abortion. In the June interview he said he will definitely not run for President, but if he changes his mind, he may be very appealing to voters.

The question was-would I be less likely to back Christie if I know that the Bush family is supporting him. My answer remains-LESS LIKELY. George Walker Bush is pro-life and therefore got my vote over Gore and Kerry. However, he is way too moderate on many issues.
Christie and Cain are both pro-life enough to be equal choices in my opinion. However, given the issues that I know Christie to be too moderate on (and I assume firmly moderate due to the backing of the moderate Bush) and therefore LESS LIKELY is still my answer.
If Cain were the more conservative than Christie on every other issue, but not pro-life, I would support the pro-life Christie over Cain.
Does that help? I only ask because I am back to the Meat Grinder (aka my work place) after vacation...therefore not clicking on all cylinders in every other arena!

Interesting take on Gov. Christie in a new column in The American Thinker by James V. Capua. It's titled "The Fat Guy and the Skinny Guy: More Alike Than They Appear"

Has there been a link posted to Christie's speech at the Regan Library? Perhaps I missed it.

There are a lot of videos breaking up the speech and then the Q&A after. You can find them on this page.
