Anyone voting for Hilary should be charged with accessory after the fact.

Watching her having her as.. kissed by the Dems on the committee was interesting. The more she cackled and laughed the more it appeared that it was just a matter of time before she choked to death on her swallowed tongue. One could only sit on the edge of his/her chair and hope, right?

It is the electoral college votes that are cast for the nominees that puts that entire state for a candidate.

For example, if most of Florida - a key swing state - votes for the Republican nominee and a few key cities (Tampa-Clearwater, Orlando, and Greater Miami-Dade) go Democrat - the entire state must give all it's electoral votes to the Democrat nominee.

That is written in the Constitution.

Not entirely true. Maine and Nebraska allow for proportional voting.

U. S. Electoral College, Official - What is the Electoral College?

I stand humbled and corrected. I did not know that fact. Thank you.

I can tell you what Donald Trump isn't. He isn't a known pathological liar, a political hack, nor has he demonstrated a such a level of incompetence that hasn't left most sane and objective people questioning his fitness to be President and Commander-In-Chief.

Also Mr. Trump did not lie , steal and use any political office and a fake charity
to become wealthy .

The electrol college is nothing more than make voter votes obsolete. Even if the whole state vote is one sided the elected official don't have to vote for the what the citzens want. Get rid of the electoral college, two party system, Lobbists, and corprete donation if you ever want to have true president elected by the people for the people.

The President has vetoed the Defense budget (612 billion) passed by bi partisan majority in both the house and senate,

"Obama's main objection is that the bill anticipates off-budget spending to increase the defense budget without increasing domestic spending first. The president wants Congress to lift the automatic budget caps included in a 2011 budget agreement."

Obama vetoes defense bill in high-stakes showdown over spending

He wants to veto the defense budget in order to insure he has the money for domestic spending.

"This week alone, the White House has threatened vetoes on bills that would prioritize payments in case of a debt limit breach, ban federal funds to "sanctuary" cities, and repeal key provisions of the Affordable Care Act."

"The Office of Management and Budget has issued 59 veto threats this year, more than any year since the George W. Bush White House issued 85 in 2007, the first year of a newly Democratic-controlled Congress.

Then and this is typical Obama....he made the veto signing a PHOTO OP....totally unheard of.

The New York Times says....

"signaled his determination to use the defense bill as a bargaining chip to push Republicans to abandon strict spending limits on military and domestic programs enacted in the 2011 Budget Control Act."

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/23/us...-gop.html?_r=0

This from POLITICO....

"President Barack Obama issued the fifth veto of his seven-year presidency on Thursday, rejecting the sweeping $612 billion National Defense Authorization Act in a move designed to prevent Republicans from getting an edge in nascent budget negotiations."

Read more: Obama vetoes massive defense bill over budget spat - POLITICO

It is either his way or the highway. Now using the defense budget to get his way. This is typical of this Presidency.

In that POLITICO article.....

"The president’s action, before a small group of journalists summoned to the Oval Office, also disregards the warnings of Democratic defense hawks who backed the measure. And it demonstrates yet again that the president, emboldened in his second term, has few qualms about taking steps sure to provoke congressional Republicans "

One of the quotes in this article...

"“Never before has an American president used the bill that provides pay and support to our troops and their families as political leverage for his domestic agenda,” “The American people, and most importantly, the men and women in uniform deployed to fight in dangerous war zones around the world, expect more from their commander-in-chief.”

Now, lets be clear.......this is all politics by this President.

The press secy said this on behalf of the WH....

"...press secretary Josh Earnest emphasizing Obama’s objection to the fact that the measure endorses this year’s GOP budget plan."

You have to admire this mans ego !!!

Why not just get rid of the 2011 sequester? This bill was approved by the Democrats, because they thought the Republicans would never let the defense budget cuts happen as required by law.

Increasing the defense budget violates the spirit of the law. Obama does have a point. The simple solution seems to be the rid of the 2011 law.

Why not just go with the popular vote! Why do we need an electoral college anyway. What purpose does it serve?

Because, my low information friend, the electoral college is part of the Constitution. If you want to have the Constitution amended, talk to your Congressman and learn of the very lengthy process.

That also goes for term limits on Congress and the Supreme Court.
