I guess you think Hannity is really smart when he makes the following statement to tea party members"what we have here are Tim McVeigh wannabes." That's a n intelligent thing to say. To make matters worse the intelligent teapartiers all cheer. Cheering for a mass murderer of innocent Americans,now that's smart. Give me a break!

Apparently, you missed some of Hannity's appearence or, apparently, you don't realize sarcasm when you see it. Hannity also told a small gathering before the show that the Tea Party movement is legitimate and will withstand mounting attacks from its opponents on the left. He said, "We've got veterans, we've got stay-at-home moms, people who really don't like the direction of the country. They're speaking out and they've been compared to terrorists, Tim McVeigh-wannabes. They've been called un-American. They've been called every name in the book. Now, the latest attack is that these people are violent. So, Hannity was definitely using sarcasm when he referred to his audience as "McVeigh-wannabes." Know your facts!

Sean Hannity was referring to Juan Williams comments on O'Reilly. Talking about the Tea Partiers and the Don't Tread on Me flags...

It’s a separate flag- it’s a new flag that they have created. But it’s the same imagery that was on Timothy McVeigh, you know? I mean, this is the kind of thing that’s worrisome to me. I don’t see how you can get away from it."

is party dictate. For those who oppose the tea parties, please enlighten us in some amount of detail what you and your party call their gatherings, protests or get togethers.

This is taken out of context. A few moments before this statement, Hannity quoted a spokeman on the Left who called Tea Parties "a bunch of Timothy McVeigh wannabes." So Hannity was lifting that statement as sarcasm. This is similar to using the attack by Obama on conservatives as "bitter people who cling to their bibles and guns." Hannity and others will happily throw this back in his face by calling themselves, sarcastically, "Bitter clingers."

Oh I most certainly did. That's why I said he 'claimed' to have been making a joke. I should have emphasized the word 'claim' more.

As a joke teller, my advice to him is "Don't quit your day job".

As a politician, my advice is to "find an honorable exit - you're not doing your constituents any favors".

so it's sarcasm when Hannity or some other republican says something stupid but it's just a democrat being dumb when they say something stupid. Makes perfect sense to me. I think I'll opt for dumb rather than believe some of the garbage and outright lies coming out of republican mouths.

OMG Hannity said it as a rebuttal. The Democrats (aka progressive liberals) made the comment about the Tea Partiers and Hannity was just parroting them.
Whatever you think of Sean Hannity, he is one sharp guy who has a radio and TV show. There are no flies on him and he would never say a derogatory statement directed at the Tea Party Movement.
I think you and your talking point sources will get more desperate as November approaches.

It's only garbage and outright lies when something is taken out of context which is a typical liberal tool. BTW... did you even listen to that moron congressman. He is a democrat and got elected by democrates. Doesn't say much for being a democrate... does it?

As usual when a conversation with a liberal about an issue where there is no real defense because the matter is clear to anyone, the tactic to is highlight some comment by a conservative, or anyone for that matter, that get their opponent a little riled and get the conversation changed. The left has been doing this by saying "Bush" whenever you point out something Obama is doing, or "you defend insurance companies?", when you try to point out that Democrats are in the process of taking away their rights and bankrupting our country. Change the subject and count on conservatives to be more polite than they are is a liberal tactic and practiced parry. It makes me sometimes just throw up my hands in disgust and frustration and, again, it's what the liberal apologist aimed to do.
