Never heard of Bug Tussle. Why did I move here? Definitely not to change it. It was fine just the way it was when I moved here. No improvement needed, other than maybe mandating a drivers test every year for anyone over 70. Driving around here is like driving in third world countries, where they totally disregard traffic signals and signs.

Bug Tussle was the Clampett's home town. I moved here seven years ago and hope it never changes. A little worried about build out, but that may never happen. I knew that The Villages leaned conservative, but so was the part of Cook County where I lived. In fact my Congressman was Mark Kirk (R) who ls now a U.S. Senator. Anyhow, just like there my neighborhood here is a mix of poltical views but we all get along, because we have a common denominator. We are fortunate to live in this great country and The Villages is the frosting on the cake.

I think every country that fights says God is on their side.



Now the common denominator is technology.



You can find real and fake information online. Before you had to trust people that what they remember reading is correct. Who had the time to read more than one paper or more then one news show.



Pictures would cause movements. A group being fire hosed, young naked girl running away from the shooting. TV news footage of someone being run down by a tank on tv changed opinions. But we had to wait for it.



Now everyone has a video camera and can publish it for the world to see and they do if it goes viral. Every shooting seems to have been recorded. It's almost like the hunger games. It's not live but only minutes old.



This technical evolution happened so quickly we don't know quite how to react or digest what we see.



I think the smartphone and social media is the new God, omnipresent and all knowing [subject to interpretation].
