Excellent post! :BigApplause:

It does however, create a problem.

Per some people, I am the only left-leaning person here.

I guess you just disabused them of that hope. :D

While taking credit for your well written and time consuming post refuting some right-wingnuts simplistic screeching, would be an honor...no way my integrity and ethics would allow that.

Once again...outstanding job!

My hunch is you were the only other person so far to watch it.

He was so different, I wonder who did the coaching. It was out of character. People say that he is always himself. That's the real Donald but that's not what you saw today, was it?

Is this the resurrection of the Sybil theory? I'm the one you thought was one person with many different voices.

Anyway--
Here's my favorite part of the speech that helps people like us:

"Trump presented his pledge to repeal the estate tax, worth an estimated $25bn a year, as a boon for the working class, but it only applies applies to estates larger than $5.45m for individuals, or $10.9m for married couples – in effect, people like himself and his children."

Now I will be able to give my kids the $11 million I've been saving up.

The person that I was responding to called me "a needy one, or a libtard bleeding heart. Take a look at the first sentence of my post. I said that I doubted that I was responding to the person that started this thread, which would be you.

I did watch the speech, and my first post was more about details of the speech rather than his appearance, which all the respondents were to that point. Then, I got attacked by the flat taxers.

AP fact check: How does Donald Trump's economic plan hold up? | PBS NewsHour

Trump might have changed his tone, but he still lives in his own fact free zone.

Independent government agencies have put numbers on his economic proposals, as well as Hillary's. They have projected that his plan will add between 7-10 trillion to the national debt over ten years. Hillary would add less than 1 trillion over ten years.

Reagan, Bush Sr., and Clinton all cut taxes, but they were all revenue neutral. The cut expense to offset the loss of revenue. That was Republican 101. You don't add to the debt. Trump, and Hillary didn't cut any of the existing programs. Trump is relying totally on a doubling of the GDP. That is an incredible roll of the dice.

This is for Mr. Libtard also, who mentioned the recent recovery under Obama. Things have changed with the world economy. This last recovery took time, because of changes in the world economy. Blaming Obama for the changes are just Republican talking points to the undereducated that care less about details. Production jobs in great number have left the U.S. Making the assumption that cutting taxes will put more money in people's pockets; therefore, everything will be peachy keen again.

The tax rate cuts that he is proposing are going to the wealthy. Middle class aren't going to see much more in their pockets. The tax rate cuts will benefit the upper classes you would expect coming from the advisors that he used.

He intends to cut the corporate tax for 35% to 15%. There is a real big problem there. Professional organizations (ie. attorneys, accountants, Wall Street ) have been using the LLC laws to reduce their tax burden. Instead of paying the 39.% rate as an individual, they are paying the corporate rate 35%, and get to deduct expense they wouldn't have been able to do as a private citizen. As corporations these people that add little production to the economy will have their tax rate lowered by 20% with no benefit to the economy.

Trump didn't or include in his proposal how he was going to pay for the inter structure changes he wants to make. It has been estimated that it would cost three trillion over ten years to correct. They estimated that only 1/3 of the changes made sense due to the cost.

Again given the state of the world economy, relying of an doubling of the GDP just isn't smart.

He will probably upset many countries with his renegotiations of the existing trade agreements. The trade deal were Republican inspired that backfired for the common working man, but major corporation did just fine.

I done!

Thank you for taking the time to write a true, honest post. Keep up the great work.

Well said. Economists have looked at Trump's proposals and said they would lead the country into recession. He obviously doesn't have a clue. He can change his demeanor and try to appear normal, but we've already seen what he is really like - an immature, petulant hater who picks fights with everyone. Clearly not fit to president. And the polls are now supporting that statement.

LEAD the country into recession? We've BEEN in a recession...without $10 trillion in government borrowing/spending, we'd be in a major depression. The whole "recovery" was fake, bought with borrowing $1.5 trillion a year.

What century did you just come from? $5 million is nothing when you look at a family farm. Shoot, a home in a big city will cost you that much. Why should the gov. take your property when you pass? I have nothing but disdain for Democrats because of their belief that anyone that is better than them should share their earnings. That is NOT American. That is childish and selfish.

If you believe this, you really are in a world of your own, but I do see you have a few followers here. Without "W's" tax cuts, and Obama's extension of them, and the unfunded wars, we wouldn't have had to borrow 10 trillion. The problems didn't start on 1/20/09. Keep trying to convince open minded people that was the case. History will prove you wrong, but who gives a damn about history. We know that all history is rigged.

You are being played like a fiddle. Where do get your numbers from only Fox News? I don't think that they would go as far as to state $5 million is nothing for a family farm.

The average family farm is worth 600 to 800 thousand dollars, and very few exceed 1.2 million. In 2013, 20 small businesses, and small family farms estates nationwide owed any estate taxes. These figures came from a government tax agency.

When Trump is throwing out there eliminating estate will help small businesses, and family farms, he is full of it. 20 in an entire year would have benefitted.

You are welcome. One thing, you have to careful of. I had to apply for a home equity loan to give my other daughter a down payment on the house. I had to provide the bank with proof that my daughter was making the mortgage payments, which she was. Therefore, the loan got approved.

I will be on my other daughter's mortgage also. We will have to see how they consider my first mortgage responsibility. It would be more expensive due to federal income tax to take the down payment out of 401(k) plan, but you do for one you have to do for the other. I don't need any family wars.

Most farms barely get by, they are heavily mortgaged, having to buy expensive equipment. Horse farms like in Ocala are owned by the wealthy who make their money elsewhere, like the Morse Family. That is who trump is talking about. Tax breaks for the rich.

The 47% wording that you posted is total nonsense.

Who is the 47% Not Paying Taxes? | Fox Business

Take a look at the breakdown of the 47%. 10% are elderly. The elderly are going to vote for Trump. The working poor make up a great deal of the 47%. Trump's biggest supporters are the undereducated. All races are included in the undereducated. The majority of the 47% aren't saying a damn thing about what everyone else is paying in taxes.

Guest 08-10-2016 07:21 PM

Come on now. Just look at the demographics of the major cities in all of the battleground states. We all know that the poor, the black, the Latinos, the young, the educated women, the college educated males under 55 are voting blocs that will turn out in big numbers to vote Democrat.

The polls are favoring Hillary. The betting odds are favoring Hillary. Republican leaders are backing away from Trump. Trump is a trainwreck and has dragged the Republican Party to depths unknown in the past.

Trump has played his fantasy of a Presidential run and really does not want to be elected. It was all just playing a game. Yes, he will get back ALL of his campaign money he invested plus interest.

Why worry about saving money? That money is going toward jobs. A lot of the money is donated by big business/Wall St. so why would anyone care if they saved money or not?

I don't need to watch The Donald expose Hillary's dirt to the world to change my vote from The Donald. I already know that I will not vote for another scumbag Clinton criminal. But, I guess liberals will never be exposed to Hillary's corruption on the liberal media until the debate, so there is that. If a liberal still votes for Hillary after knowing she is a scumbag felon, then those liberals are just plain stupid.

Debate or not, my vote will go to Trump. In my opinion, Trump is smarter than Reagan but with a lot less charisma. I know I will field a lot of wrath from both sides, but that's my opinion.

There have to be conflicts news on the debates. MSNBC has reported that Trump is trying to negotiate for a moderator, that is acceptable to him. That probably limits the candidates to Sean Hannity. He will attend the debates. If he skips them, everybody but his loyal supporters will know that he is a loud mouth coward.

I think that the football excuse didn't fly, when 69% of the people polled said that they would watch the debates over a football game.

Trump didn't win the debates based upon policy. He broke even due to the number of people in the debates, that meant less time questioning him. He stood up there calling people names, and noting the place that they had on the stage. It was all a distraction. The other candidates went at each other, giving him a free pass.

With one on One, there will be no free passes. She will destroy him on policies. He can't get into detail on anything. If he does, there will be follow up questions, that he will not be able to answer.

In case you haven't noticed Trump is just doing what he does best entertaining the crowd with mostly total nonsense. There is no crowd at the debates.
