The Villages of Lake-Sumter, Inc (TVLSI) (Developer) (Morse family) could have and should have provided better but they did not ( you fill in the rest)

As to the quality of homes I am certain they are concerned that as a business there is no hint of failure of design, quality, etc for fear of legal reprisal and poor advertisement

I also believe that they would view any damage relating from this cat to be a further business opportunity . this is not a criticism but a business reality

I say all of this, not out of hate, envy or any other label some may chose to use, but because they are a corporation and corporation exist for one purpose only to make a profit and the profit margins here have been extraordinary for TVLSI because they seize on every opportunity. again not a criticism but an observation

Of course this entire thread is beside the point because at this moment in time nothing matters except what we are all about to face. Hunker down and pray

Perhaps the underling management layers are filled with those who only know how to enforce the sunshine filled, happy filled days in TV. Lacking in the capability/ability to actually address unusual, seriously threatening of life and property circumstances.

Examples....no shelters in TV.
No pets allowed in shelters announced.
No boarding of windows by the businesses in the town squares.

Lack of prudent management decision making in the face of unusual threatening circumstances when the rules need to be addressed in favor of the practicality and reality situations.

A symptom/side effect of some organizations that are just too large for real management of a given situation.

Sunshine and happy days rules temporarily aside at some point of reality! Hence lack of real "disaster management".

The latest shows it missing The Villages by a lot, I'd expect not much damage.

Andrew - I dont believe the poster implied transgenderism had had anything to do with hurricane preparedness...

What I got from the post was shelters and transgender bathrooms would be needed by a very small percentage, and liberal cater to the minority at the majorities expense...
