I agree with the first part of your post but take issue with your sweeping generalization about parenting - I know many responsible people who are trying to raise their children well. But there are many who seem to feel that it is the school system's job to raise their children. Johnny can't pass the third grade because he can't read? Obviously no parenting there.

Your "cure " was over emphasized to make a point, I'm sure but I don't want MY grandchildren exposed to those measures!

Better yet-I got the impression that the lunch switches were made due to the fact that the child had no vegetable in her lunch...so, make her eat chicken nuggets?!??!. You are right, TSK, TSK, TSK INDEED!

Interesting how the libs will defend government food police in the name of protecting kids from their mothers turkey lunch but don't seem to have an issue terminating that same child before they are born.

So, I guess the libs support a mothers right to choose as long as the government dictates what the choice is.

Of course! I have even heard liberals/pro-abortion folks use that as defense of abortion. It is better to abort a baby that is most likely destined to a life of poverty or abuse...now we can add-a life of inadequate lunches!

What I find the most fascinating is the far left animal rights nuts. Ok with killing babies for convienence but not ok with killing animals for food.

What people don't realize or in the case of some here that don't really care, if the government can take your kids lunch, they can take ANYTHING!

I shouldn't say they don't care, they actually would prefer to be ruled rather than be free. That's why they voted for Obama. Now that they got what they want, they want to make sure the rest of us are ruled to.
