Two people posting on this board have had experience with significant Muslim population in their own cities - Minneapolis and Dearborn. Their experiences have made them worry about a growing Muslim population here in The United States. To better understand what is happening I urge you to look around the world and see where 'moderate Muslims' are prevailing.

Egypt - New elections have been held and the party coming to power is the anything but moderate Muslim Brotherhood. Christians are fleeing the country for their lives as their churches are burned and they are frozen out of either government or private sector employment.

Palestine - Radical Islamists are in full control and terror attacks against Israel are a daily occurrence.

Turkey - Turkey has, in recent years, moved to an Islamist Government that is seeking to impose Sharia. This once moderate, pro west country is rapidly coming under the control of the Mullahs Turkey's top military leader resign - Los Angeles Times

I could go on with Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Malaya, Thailand ,etc. But the point is clear. Radical Islam has taken control of virtually all of Muslim nations, is increasing its influence in Europe by virtue of its increasing number and terrorism and looks forward to accomplishing that in the United States. The methods used in Lebanon are equally applicable anywhere.

That "useful idiot" phrase comes pretty close to a personal attack - but I know you would never do that. :beer3:

As for Muslims not being Americans, a Muslim citizen of the USA has the same Constitutional rights as you or me. The Bill of Rights guarantees them the same freedom of worship as you or me. You may not like that fact but the Constitution works equally for citizens of all colors or creeds.

I posted the explanation of a "useful idiot" in it's classic form for those who might not know that a "usful idiot" is someone who campaigns for something they do not understand, and have no idea how reviled they are by the people they're campaigning for.

I also posted a link more to the point in this thread. Even being the leftist that you are, I find it really troubling that you and all the leftists who are unanimously defending Islam, are actually this clueless to the it's real threat.

Regardless of how you defend them, they will destroy you without compunction, because their god tells them to. You think they appreciate it?......maybe, but you're still dirt at their feet..........unless you convert.

1) This story is over 5 years old.

2) The cabbies were told that refusing fares for invalid reasons would result in fines (you CAN refuse a fare if you feel your personal safety is in jeopardy).

3) When you operate in the public, you abide by PUBLIC laws. You can practice your religion IN PRIVATE as much as you want.

First offenders (this was in Minneapolis) had a 30-day suspension of their license. Secon-time offenders had their licenses revoked.

In other words, this was (and is) a self-repairing problem. Refuse a few fares and you're not a cab driver anymore.

I had wondered about the Somalis showing up in various novels that are set in the Twin Cities area like some of those of John Sandford as well as the latest by Stephen Hunter Soft Target. Soft Target has a group of terrorists-- many of whom are Somali-- taking over a Mall of America like shopping center.
