Years ago my father, being tired of all the door-to-door folk (political, sales, religious, etc) put up a hand-drawn sign on the front door saying "Danger - Rabid Dog." It worked really well. One person called "Animal Control" and an officer came out, verified the wagging-tail critter that licked her hand was not rabid, and left chuckling.... The First Amendment is a wonderful thing!
