Elitist
Hey tbug, I found some time to do some reading on Paul Johnson. Johnson's education was grounded in Jesuit method. He served as a Captain in the King's Royal Rifle corp and saw the grim and crulety of the Franco regime. He did have liberal leanings early on owing to witnessing the police's reaction to rioters in Paris in May 1952. However over the years his politics evolved conservative, not an unusual pattern. My reference concerning his opinion on Sarah palin was as I explained taken from an interview conducted and published in the WSJ. Given your self description it would seem you can appreciate that an intellectual such Paul Johnson would find many good and redeeming qualities in Sarah Palin. In no sense of the word was I endorsing Sarah Palin or Paul Johnson. In fact in this day and age it is not wise to endorse any one person or product. Just ask those corporations who spent millions on endorsing Tiger Woods wholesome lifestyle. A little grumpy today as my golf game got rained out:grumpy: Have a good day
