Yep...you dont have a serious mean streak in you !! WOW "a selfish parasite on the rest of the world."

You obviously have some huge hate issues that need work. Since you dont EVER contribute anything to this forum except for that HATE....as soon as my stumbling computer skills allow me to find a way to "ignore" you will be paced there. There is sufficient hate in this world without have to read your tripe !

You are just being nice here...you probably save your worst for children killers and the like.

She takes everything she can get her dirty little hands on and gives nothing in return. She is a parasite on this Country and the World. And yes, I am a real nice gentle caring person. Thank you very much. You can go to Admin, and they will get a team of folks together to show you the complicated system of blocking someone. LOL

Will do...and nobody who uses the language you do about people you do not even know is even close to being a "real nice gentle caring person"..that is impossible when you talk about other human beings with such a vile tongue.

I am so sorry, it may be my redneck childhood or my 22 years in the military, but whatever, I do not see that I use vile language. I do use some strong words to get my point across and maybe that is why you think I am harsh. I don't mean to be over the top. Swearing and barroom speech is a big part of my life. I actually clean it up for this forum. You should hear me in person. I think you should consider not responding to my posts if you feel that I am so vile. I find you vile for attacking me personally. I do not do that to members of this board, only to public figures that are stupid idiots.

I think Romney is a warm and wonderful politician that will enhance the living conditions of the kind and thoughtful American citizens. I will pray for him to have a safe and successful campaign and win the race for the WH. I hope he and his family have the best of health and joy every day. Peace and Love to everyone. How is that? Not to rough for your sensitivity I hope.

Richie - here's the exact quote from Palin:

Quote:

He who warned uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed.
He (Revere?) warned the British by "ringing those bells"? And he's riding his horse? Ummm - he never made it very far... The only time he said anything about the arms in Lexington were when shots were heard warning of the advancing Regulars.

Revere never fired any warning shots. He never 'rang bells'. One of Revere's co-prisoners made a comment about bells while detained. They (the Regulars and the prisoners) *heard* a shot about a half mile from Lexington whereupon Revere DID say that it was a signal to alarm the country.

This is the problem I have with many Palin supporters. If she said the sky were green they'd agree - that somehow you're never supposed to admit you're wrong. And *that* is what makes one a caricature.

Believe me - we LIVE this history here and re-enact the Battles of Lexington and Concord almost within paper airplane distance of where I work EVERY YEAR - *WE KNOW A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THIS STUFF*

I have no trouble admitting when 'my guy' is wrong whether it's politics, sports or if it's myself on any other subject. It's called being human - because nobody is perfect.

Refusing to admit when someone makes a mistake is a hallmark of insecurity.

I assume that you have read the other gaffes by the President of the United States relative to the number of states, etc...the gaffes by the Vice President of the United States, and you respond to this about Paul Revere >

Who cares ?

Coverage of this woman was of the lowest I can recall in my life and as you know in todays world THEY..THE MEDIA shape the opinion.....and here we are.

Yeah, tough questions like "What newspapers do you read on a regular basis?"

Wow, your adoration of Sarah is amazing. Well, no matter what I say, you will come back with it is the sleazy liberal machine that would do anything to destroy her. You know my viewpoints - as pointed out in front of millions of viewers - but I am not going to say anymore on the subject in order to not to offend a good drinking buddy. You know that I do not want to carry things to a personal level.

It was a stupid question, and the answer didn't reflect on her except in the mind of people who were predisposed to hate her.

Palin was right, and you were wrong. The Paul Revere Heritage Project backs up the inherent truth of Gov. Palin's telling of the story.

Do we really have to go over this all again. I proved you wrong months ago on this subject.

"This is the problem I have with Palin" haters. They want Palin to be perfect in her telling of a story or she's an idiot. This despite the fact that she knew more about the true nature of the Revere ride than probably 95% of all Americans you could have asked.

Oh, come on, Richie - even Bush answered that question without batting an eyelid - and he wasn't known for being a great handler of interviews (believe me, I remember all the Bush Gaffes websites). It was a *softball* by any measure.

And you demonstrate my *exact* problem with Palin supporters. Yeah, I read the text from the Paul Revere Heritage site. Only the most twisted, upside-down interpretation of the letters from Revere could be interpreted that way.

He was going out to warn the COLONISTS. When the soldiers captured him, he *did* - AT GUNPOINT - telling them that the militia was gathering. There were no ringing of bells and it was NEVER his intent to warn the SOLIDERS. I have to tell you - I would have given anything to hear what her reaction would have been in that store to a quesiton like "What about Prescott and Dawes?".

She took an innocent question about her impressions of Boston and tried to re-frame it into a political speech - just like she did on her reality show trying to equate the behavior of bears to certain voters.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not a Palin hater. I think it took a lot of guts and skill to do what she did in Alaska in taking on the oil companies. This woman is NOT without skills. She's a FANTASTIC actor, if you believe the people who worked the campaign with her. She was overloaded with a blizzard of information that she had almost NO time to digest. It doesn't mean she's a bad person - just that she was not YET qualified for the #2 job in the country.

My *personal* opinion is that she got caught up in the new political methodology of "never admit when you're wrong" and "spin, spin, spin". And let's not forget that some people CAN have success go to their heads. I mean - you saw the crowds out there ADORING her, yes? You have to be a certain kind of person for that to NOT have an effect on you.

Guest 03-19-2012 08:41 AM

You're entitled to you opinion DJ, but still, that's all it is. I still see that Gov. Palin's telling of the story of Paul Revere is still closer to the truth of the story that the fairy tale we've been told hour whole lives and which the vast majority of Americans take as literal.

Sarah Palin is a far more intelligent human being, in my opinion, that our chief gaffer Joe Biden, and she had more executive experience than either Obama or Biden. That's just a fact, Jack.

The spin is from the left when it comes to Gov. Palin, fueled by the most hate filled liberal media campaign in the history of our country, with hundreds of liberal rat troops all with one mission which was to destroy this one lone conservative women who was garnering praise and enormous crowds of admirers wherever she went.

I'll never accept the revisionist history of the story of Gov. Palin and I won't even give your soft condemnation, laden with a couple of kudos a pass which is written with the intention of dismissing this true American with true American values and true American interests at heart, unlike our current occupier of the White House.

AND, she's still right about Paul Revere, and you're still wrong:

Sarah Palin right about Paul Revere - International Business Times

Experts back Sarah Palin’s historical account - BostonHerald.com

Sarah Palin Was Right About Paul Revere - Peter Roff (usnews.com)

Historians Say Palin Was Right About Paul Revere - But they admit it begrudgingly, notes the 'Boston Herald'

Experts: Palin Is Right About Paul Revere - Sarah Palin - Fox Nation

The 'myth' that most people have is that Revere's ride was important. Because of his early capture, he never made it far enough to warn most of the people he was supposed to. He DID meet up with others before being captured. Dawes was captured but escaped and Prescott also fared better.

What's also not commonly know is that there were an estimated 40 'runners' out there spreading the word.

I quoted Palin directly. She made it seem like Revere's attempt was to warn the Brits when it was nothing of the sort. Yes, technically, at gunpoint, he DID say that the militia were gathering - BUT THE SOLDIERS ALREADY KNEW THAT. And I notice that the 'defenders' of Palin ignore the whole 'bell ringin' part which, to me, demonstrates that she really DIDN'T know as much of the story as she thought she knew.

But the other part I notice is that you harped on my mention of the Revere gaffe. You picked that one out to INSIST she was right. This is like if you told me the sky was green and I said it was blue and you INSISTED you were right - and later found out that, yes, under certain conditions there IS an atmospheric phenomenon that DOES make the sun appear green for a split second at sunset IF you're on a beach or in the middle of the ocean.

No comment on her not knowing anything about the Korean peninsula?

And, yeah, she IS now a 'true' American. Quitting her job to do publicity. Heck she did the reality show which seems to be the career goal of a lot of Americans now.

And, yes, she did have more "executive branch experience" - but like I've said, she was the governor of the easiest state to govern - a welfare state with a surplus from oil revenues. She was mayor of Wasilla and THAT job was found to be more "show up on Tuesday and collect your paycheck" than anything else (a near direct quote from the current Mayor of Wasilla) since even the police and fire were handled by the state.

She absolutely WAS a rising star - and still has a boatload of popularity. But she IS a polarizing figure. Quitting the way she did isn't going to help her on the national stage. But, I'll be the first to admit, I don't know what her goals are.

It *should* be easy to defeat Obama. What boggles my mind are the incredibly low quality of candidates the GOP is putting out.

We could REALLY use another Reagan - but the Reagan of 1980 would be called a left-wing wishy-washy liberal by the GOP of 2012 which still invokes his name in reverency.

Guest 03-19-2012 01:21 PM

It is absolutely hysterical to hears the Cons say that the Dems fear Palin. It's hard to tell if they really believe this or (and this is more likely) they heard Hannity say the same thing.

In our dreams - the R convention becomes deadlocked - and the delegates turn to ........... The Wasilla Quitta !!!!! This is her fantasy as well.

I would pay - I would pay money, I tell you to see The Quitta debate Obama.

Maybe Katie Couric could interview her?

OK, I'm glad you finally are giving up on the Revere thing (as if you had a choice, intellectually) but now you just descended into the morass of the dedicated Palin haters, and as I have no stomach for foolish haters of those better than they..........on this subject I am done with your sophistry.

I would love to see that too. Obama without his prompter going "uh, uhhh, uuhhh". Obama wouldn't have the cajones to debate Palin.

I think it's hysterical that you libs think Obama is brilliant. That's a great joke.

OMG :22yikes:

I am a big Romney Fan, but lets be real, Obama would destroy palin if they gave only her the questions a year in advance. You have to be kidding if you are serious.

I am perfectly serious. Obama could not seriously debate Palin in a non-partisan debate. She would take him apart by the seams the same way she did Joe Biden in '08.

What did I say that was misinformation?

Tina Fey made the statement avbout Russia on one of the Saturday Night Live Shows. That is the mis-information.

Guest 03-20-2012 07:29 AM

No, Figmo, when Katie Couric asked Palin about her knowledge of foreign relations, she stated that Russia was in very close proximity to Alaska and Russian planes flew over Alaska. It was on SNL that Tina Fey spoofed Palin by saying she could see Russia from her backyard.

Guest 03-20-2012 11:18 AM

She (Palin) also said you can see Russia from Alaskan soil - which is true. On the Diomede Islands in the Bering Strait, you CAN see Russian island from the American island.

Guest 03-20-2012 12:17 PM

Wow !!!!!!!!!!! I wonder what our North Korean allies would think of that ....

Any uber-conservative with a fixation on the intelligence of Sarah Palin has got to be right (FAR RIGHT)!!

But, Sarah Palin definitely is a good advertisement that any American can attend and graduate from a junior college (after several tries).
