So was Iraq "bogus" because there were no WMDs found, even though all the best intelligence suggested Hussein had them? Even today, I can hear the recorded cell phone call from one Iraqi general to another----"The UN team is headed your way, better move the "stuff"". What stuff would they want to hide from the UN---a box of twinkies?????. It's a large desert, it took 8 months to find Hussein in a hole, and he needed food, air and water. How hard to hide barrels of chemical weapons or nerve gas? We are still digging "stuff" up in the desert from 5,000 years ago. Truth is, that we will probably never know, but ultimately, "war is hell", and has tendencies to bend the usual sense of ethics and morality. Not saying that's right, just saying that's how it is. |

Even if you don't believe the aforementioned is it so hard to believe that Saddam who buried airplanes in the desert couldn't hide WMD War is hell but we would be experiencing a living hell if not for the unselfish acts of brave men and women who strongly believe in our American way of life. As to Freddie Gray..is anyone surprised that the city of Baltimore paid such a huge amount so quickly. A city government where the mayor sanctioned destruction of property . Where a prosecuting attorney joins in with rioters to express no justice no peace.
In my view the city should have attempted two things before settling. One demand and pushed aggressively for a change in venue for both the criminal and civil matters. Secondly not settled that civil claim until the results of the criminal charges were concluded. BUT WE KNOW WHY THEY DIDN'T This is a city run by angry progressives and with black populist notions meaning that they going to get the man. and I'll make book that Al Sharpton had taken the lead here. I don't know about the rest of America but I am sick and tired of the lawlessness going on and federal and state representatives that sit back and do nothing because they are afraid to offend and lose votes. And worse yet, The state of Maryland has a $400,000 liability cap on non-economic damages, so this looks like 6 million for nothing. I think this was a blatant attempt to further pollute the jury pool |

Someone asked if Vietnam was a bogus war. Yes, it was.
It was a civil war that the USA should not ever have been involved with. The Gulf of Tonkin was a bogus way of getting involved. 58,000 soldiers died for nothing. Vietnam is now a tourist destination and a trading partner with the USA. |

As far as a trading partner and a tourist destination goes, so is Germany, Italy and Japan----perhaps that makes WWII "bogus" also |

No assumptions either. Wait until the trials of these six officers. You will see my prediction of the driver and the sergeant being found guilty if depraved heart murder will be accurate. Police are not above the law. |

BTW, we did not "lose" in Vietnam. In fact we won every single battle---100% of them. We lost the will to fight at home, not on the battlefield |

Back to the topic. Freddie Gray died because of an illegal arrest which led to the illegal rough ride in the paddy wagon just to tune him up a little bit. The police are guilty and the trials will prove that to be a fact. Police must follow laws, too.
