Gov't Shutdown
 

As I said in my orginial post I call a shut down "damage control". Here is what will happen if they reach an impasse. Only the essentials will be continued. However they won't reach an impasse for the same reason some employees always show up because they know that if there gone too long and no one notices then the jinks up. I made mention in another thread that I believe with all the modern technology that we could significantly reduce the number of representatives we have in the House. I bet we could drop it down to about 300 or so without missing a beat. In fact it may make for more harmony and better results. I found in the corporate world that when employees didn't have enough to do they got testy complacent and invovled in matters that didn't involve them which created real tension among the ranks. Sound familair? does it describe our Congress? I believe so
So every time I hear one of those rascals in congress threaten a shut down I respond "please!:throwtomatoes:"
