Actually, no. If you look, the graph is in 5 year increments. The low point at the right is past where '07 would be. It's right about 2010. The economy was starting to decline, but it's bottom is right in the lap of this administration.

Richie. I want to again thank you for placing the entire blame for our economic problems on Obama. 2 unfunded wars, tax cuts for the rich and unfunded medicare probably had nothing to do with it. To put it bluntly your premise is a joke and anyone who believes it really needs to get through the hatred and start looking at the facts.

And it all started 50 years ago as the master plot to have a Muslim, born in Kenya, become President and advance his socialistic ideas in an attempt to force Texas to secede and Palin to look stupid and McCain to refer to him as 'that one' and create unemployment and urge bankers to act dastardly and, lord forbid, want decent health care for all and ad nauseum.......

To All, no matter who's fault it is it all started in 1913 with the creation of the FED. Once all our money had no value it was a down hill slide from there on. Each President and Congress has only made it worse, that includes both the Republicans and the Democrats. Take your chose. All voters better wise up and forget being a DINO or RINO and get those that will look out for the United States and not their own pockets.

You think that the numbers are bad now. Do a Google check on the homeless in and around LA. There is not a camp ground or open space where there is not a tent city and it is only getting worse. But who do we help, all those POOR illegals, and I don't mean just the Mexicans. Everyone who is in this country illegally needs to be deported and denided a right to work. If an employer is found to have hired illegals, lose of business license, take his house, money everything since it has been gained by illegal means. Only have to do that once or twice and it would solve the problem.

The housing market has only started to drop. All the ARMS reset between 2011 and 2013. Just watch and see what happens.

Tbugs, I guess you only get your news from the Liberal News Networks. You really should look around and get out more. Yo should proably stop taking those happy pills that you are on.

Default News networks

Figmo,

I bet you ONLY get your "news" from FOX and do not listen to any other stations.

Your conspiracy theories are downright scary. I once knew someone with similar viewpoints and he said after retirement he was going to buy 5 acres of land and spend his days sitting on the front porch with a shotgun across his lap.

Figmo: I won't argue against the fact that The Fed isn't the greatest thing around. There's plenty there that needs investigating and cleaning up.

HOWEVER - the Fed *did* keep us from the boom/panic cycle that USED to be the American economy.

A lot of people have argued about getting rid of the Fed with a number of reasons ranging from reasonable to far-out-loony. What is missing from EACH AND EVERY ONE of these argumetns is what to replace it with. Go back to the Gold Standard? Impossible - our economy is too big. There is no longer enough gold/silver/platinum/etc in the entire planet to back up just the American economy, never mind the rest of the world. I mean, do you REALLY want the US Dollar to be replaced by the South African Rand (because they produce far more gold than anyone else)?
