Dear Guest: One has to concede that Obama was born in the US because it is difficult to address a negative. Or perhaps those people who represent the invisible global government (soros, etc) having the ability to do just about anything to create another life for Obama...something akin to the witness protection program BUT THAT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER

Because by manner, speech, action philosophy etc Obama reeks of anti-americanism. there is not one patriotic bone in his body. he spending his 8 years doing everything he can to destroy this nation. Its unfortunate but many citizens simply do not understand the consequences now in the future that his executive orders, fiats regulations foreign relation deals, etc have create for this nation. One only has to look at the IRS, DOJ, EPA, FBI State Department,etc to see how defiant and unaccountable they have been to citizens. Does anyone really believe that this unaccountable and defiance was possible without Obama's permission?

Dear Guest: I understand your point as it all does come down to what's in it for me. But what once started out as a means of providing a level playing field for workers has transformed itself into a great liability for this nation.

Unions exist primarily to serve the Democratic machine to ensure votes. Unions no longer really represent workers. Union rules cut into productivity and they make our products more expensive in the market. Union such as the Long Shoremen will disappear as technology takes hold. the Longshoremen held this nation hostage and that can't happen any longer.

Public Unions are more of a problem and granting them bargaining rights was another mistake by progressives because there is no one to bargain against because politicians sold themselves to public unions for their vote. Hence we have wages and benefits that are way out of whack with their private sector counterparts. We have incompetent public employees who can't be fired. We have taxpayers whose wages and benefits pale in comparison supporting these public employees. We have teacher unions who have are primarily responsible for the inadequate education our children are receiving and dare I say actual protect pedophiles
We have many public employee pensions plans whose funding is substantially inadequate and I fear that taxpayers will be on the hook for their unfunded liabilities....and the beat goes on

there is a demand for skilled blue collar workers that is not being met. This indicates that the market demand is > than supply and will determine the value of such workers as it should be and not some politicians begging for votes and a union artificially and arbitrarily applying market values to job positions

Typical liberal, NEEDS a level playing field. NEEDS is the key word. Not EARNS, but needs. Income redistribution. I've seen how lazy union workers have become. When you can't fire them, they have no worries.

Replace liberal with woman or minority, now you know the truth. They're not "equal" if they constantly NEED an advantages over white men.

All workers have the freedom ( the right ) to do whatever is necessary to gain a better life for themselves and family. The worker has the freedom ( the right ) to initiate whatever tactic they desire within the means of law to extract as much capital from management as they desire. Management has the freedom ( the right ) to attempt to extract as much from labor as they desire. This is the level playing field. Each side acting in their best self interest for the benefit of all.

That is exactly why I agree with the "right to work" states. They do not need the union's permission to fire someone.

And these right to work states have the largest populations living in trailer parks. Is this how you want your grandchildren and great grandchildren to live ?

My daughter and her husband are in manufacturing and make six figure incomes NON-UNION. Not bad for living in a right tow work state.
