Dear Guest: This issue of working with Congress in itself is a worthy topic.
Much has been written about the founders and the varying degree of difference they had as to the making of this Republic. Stand outs such as George Washington made the difference. Abraham Lincoln had is share of controversy yet the nation endured. Always in the end citizens understood what was at stake and that divided we fall and so they managed compromise. But the thing about compromise is it has to go both ways.

In my view the progressives play the game of "we don't have the problem you got the problem" with GOP. However if a voter/citizen is objective s/he will realize that the progressives have moved to a position of "our way ONLY or the highway" compliments of Obama, Reed, Pelosi, DOJ, IRS, EPA, etc etc etc. This nation continues to suffer their conceit with one of the worse and longest recoveries in history, with ObamaCare, with so much regulations that businesses just sit on cash or because of taxes leave the country. A black president is responsible for the division seen with the races

We do need business regulations, we do need the IRS, we do need universal healthcare, and it is not our President who has created a racial divide.

Political organizations for both parties are using the 501(4)c charitable organization laws to get around hiding their contributors, and getting a charitable deduction to boot. The IRS regulation states that these organizations shall preform no political functions at all. The law should be enforced as written.

Saying that no progressive read the Affordable Care act is nonsense. The law was discussed for over a year. What the hell were they talking about the color of the sky? All the main points in the law were well known. Given the fact that lawyers have to take 1 000 words to describe something that can be done in 10, because other lawyers are looking for loopholes in everything, they didn't read the final version word for word, but they knew what was in the law. Hell, something in the wording was missed, and the Supreme Court had to rule on it. Lawyers being lawyers.

People don't have a problem getting insurance. They have a problem be able to afford insurance. Letting insurance companies cross state lines isn't going to help. It may help reduce health insurance for companies. However, individuals, whose companies don't provide health insurance, will be out there on their own, and billed at community rates. Community rates are the highest ones going.

Single payer doesn't have to mean that the government is paying the entire bill for health insurance. You can have a current insurance company manage the plan, and set the rate for individuals and families. However, the insurance company markup will be set by the government. Single payer will never happen.

Dodd/Frank regulations pertained to banks, and mortgage companies. Companies were leaving the US long before Dodd/Frank to avoid paying federal income taxes, and for lower wages overseas. The blame game holds no bounds with Republicans. Republicans and honesty now that is a novel concept. The word most used in the Republicans debates, is liar, liar, liar. The public education system is money cesspool, probably the worst mismanaged public ran program which it got worse when Feds got involved. When superintendents make 300 to 400k year you know where all the money going? Union Lobbists have paid off politicians for the unfunded 100% teachers union retirement. With more days off I doubt they work 7 months out of year. Seems there some type of break every few weeks? Guess what NO progress is standards. Teachers are the only ones I know that get pension for as little as 5 years teaching 5 years! (Google teacher retirement and see what comes up)

Last the IRS! Biggest waste of tax dollars. Regulations by the thousands of pages so the rich don't have to pay taxes and the middle class pays 39% cause we don't have CPAs and lawyers using loop holes to pay less taxes than they're secretaries.
