A perfect illustration of what's wrong with this mode of every poster having the same name of "Guest". No way to know who to ignore as the o.p. suggested.

As people subscribe to this forum, they could be assigned a number as their screen name, so we can differentiate between posters. Everyone having the same name makes it wide open for trolls to talk with themselves and bolster their own opinion endless times, as the kook on Topix does.

This is what happened to the prior political forum except then we knew who we were dealing with and much easier to ignore or block.

The disadvantage of the guest identities is the antagonists can present multiple responses or counterpoints to overwhelm or continue to make their point as well as continuously badger those who would prefer a cogent dialogue.

I think the advice proposed earlier today in another post is to NOT ENGAGE.
I plan not to except for defense of for purpose misdirection, interpretation and re-staement of intents.
