POTUS says we can earn 5million per year, he did.

I think anything more than 1 trillion per year salary is obsene. Tax anything over that at 50%

Let me try and put this into perspective since I began this thread....

The President of the United states says this week "I mean, I do think at a certain point you've made enough money."

The President of the United States made over 5 million dollars last year.

I frankly do not care who he was talking to....if he is telling those on Wall St that they made enough money, when does he talk about those in Hollywood and what they make...tv stars and their salaries and athletes and their pay.

He already told Joe the Plumber that he wanted to spread around his money...A plumber !!!

I realize that those on Wall St had a hand in our financial woes, but until someone shows me that they did something illegal, what does their income have to do with it.

When does he talk about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac executives that earned just a bit more than the President did...about 6 million !! Oh,they dont count...oh, and he and the Dems pushed aside a Republican attempt to add to this financial reform bill a revision of those agencies.

This President has an agenda....stay tuned as he progresses on his way.

Those of you who feel it was appropriate for Wall st why is this attitude not aimed at others....and you will return to what he (the President) is telling you and ignore the rising federal payroll....the salaries earned at Freddie and Fannie...why does the Plumber need to spread his money around but just keep raising the federal payroll for one...oh, are they union...hmmmm !

Good perspective Bucco. Today, I was trying to explain your post to my husband and told him about some of the comments here about the post. We put it in our own perspective by putting Obama's comment to the Kentucky Derby.

We were scarastically complaining about how much the winner of the Kentucky Derby makes. We sorta role-played-argued like Progressives about how unfair it is for someone to make that much money by simply owning a horse. One race!! Do you know how much they pay that winning jockey for winning one race!! Then the money that horse can make for breeding! The Progressive rationalized pretend discussion went from the sickening wealth of the show-offs at the Derby to the how the people who make the odds are as bad as the dirty bad boys at Wall Street.
And then someone is making money by people placing beats on the Derby horses!!

See how ridiculous it gets? You can make the same pretend argument for Hollywood and any number of professions. It takes the focus off the real issue. Not how much money someone makes; but how much control someone can get of the entire free enterprise system and people's freedoms, prosperity and liberties.

When did prosperity become bad?

The only "bailout" that should have even been considered would have been the kind that dismantled the sick corporation in the first place. Not what we got that basically allowed then to continue on the same as always (with a merger here and there for 'show')
