 The thing about free speech is that you are bound to offend someone. In the progressive wold thee is this unrealistic need to try and prevent risk and pain which is ignores the limits of nature. Its why political correctness was invented by socialist to try and control people. Its how helicopter parents came about and why college kids suffer from trigger warnings, micro agressions and beg for safe spaces.

Dear Guest: Your not going to let up:D god for you. I respect a person that stays the course. But was the entire post you found derogatory or just the noun "Daddy"I placed before Obama? If the former well I am perplex because its history? If the latter then "Daddy"was meant Obama made the biggest move toward socialism.

I will return to confession but I know my priest is going to say "you again":D

Personal Best Regard:

This is off topic, but I have to say it, other posters can learn a lot from you, including me. Your posts are not only articulate and thoughtful, but by this post you have shown others how to respond respectfully and with good humor to negative posters and their attacks. Not to mention , the patience you exhibit by doing so and the humility you show in wanting to know and understand your wrong doings from the other person's perspective and your wilingness to say, hey, I'm sorry if that offended you......a person who desires to engage in true dialog. I tip my hat to you, or whatever would be the appropriate thing to do since I'm a woman, not a man.:mademyday:

The problem is people in the America have never seen their cities bombed and leveled in a war, if you did you would not be so warmongering. I say for warmongers, send you kids on the front lines! Oh no, let someone else do it.

Power is the reason no one has dared bomb us. But, don't forget 9/11. I hate war also, but I served in the military more than once BECAUSE I didn't want my family to have to experience war at home. You can argue all you wish, but if you are weak, bullies will take advantage of you. We don't war on countries just to protect ourselves. We also war on others to protect or support our allies. If you have a problem with that, then you are not as liberal and caring as you boast.

You are a sissy! All smoke no fire.

I'll take that as you not having a mature response. You're welcome. I say you're welcome because I am one of the ones that have protected you for most of my life. I have yet to have anyone but a friend in jest, call me a sissy. But, cowards will sit back in their mom's basement and chide others from their deep dark safety. So, you are welcome.

We war on other nations because corporations want resources and customers. I served too, and I'm embarrassed about some of the things we did. You must have been a grunt and not involved with the plans and operations. Don't believe the propaganda. Whom is the bully? We have bases all over the world, to keep others in line. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

off topic
The word bully and sissy bother me.
They feel like children's words to me. It doesn't bother me if a man sounds more like his mother than his father but I wouldn't call him a sissy. Maybe in the third grade I did but not now.

Bully---who is a bully? Is a Mafia boss a bully? Was Patton a good bully? How about Tyson? That word seems appropriate for an overgrown 8 year old pushing down 6 year olds in a playground. That's the image I imagine when I hear the word, not Tyson or Capone. But I can't find a better word than intimidator. There must be a better word in the English language to depict these types of adults. Can you think of one?

So bush43 attached Iraq to protect us, or was it to protect his and big oil interests? And no, he knew they didn't have wmd's.

I suppose if you read the same input provided to folks like Clinton at the time, you too would have supported the effort.

This after the fact BS pumping to make a political statement is nothing more than partisan mind bending.

I mean if Clinton bought in, surely it was obvious appropriate action must be taken and hence supported the president. With her hatred for republican anything why else would she and all the others support the measure???

Why would they support the action presented?

Dear Guest: An American patriot would not take a trip to Cuba nor do business with them or acknowledge them as a part of the world community until they first released all their political prisoners and relinquished their violations of further human rights

Dear Guest:

Please explain why my recitation of FDR, Johnson, Carter, Clinton and Obama's policies, now a part of history, are snide remarks? Its not like I claimed Obama lied and people died. The Democratic Party continues to move far left and both Sanders and Clinton wear the socialist label proudly.

Perhaps the discomfort you are feeling is recognition of the wrong path your party is taking? Perhaps your quarrel is not with me but your Party?
I was once a Democrat but in the 1960's the Party left me and so I registered Republican.

Today, I find the Republican Party wanting which explains Trumps' popularity which I also find perplexing?

My posts simply speak to my displeasure with socialism and my belief in our capitalistic market free economy.

Finally if you desire to reply and can make a case that my remarks are derogatory then I will apologize because that is not my intent... And in that same vein may I apologize for making you uncomfortable

OK, Genius. How much OIL did we get?
And almost half a million dead bodies in mass graves in Iraq, killed by gas says you don't have a clue and listen to too much talking points. Use your head for a change. Besides, Sadaam violated the No Fly zone. That's enough to attack, so get over it.

And how many wars have you fought in America? If you don't like America, there are plenty of great countries that will take you in. Not as great as America, but livable.

I agree, we have to deal with our poor in this country before we send more money and aid to other countries. Send help yes! But not money so their corrupt governments can spend it on them selves. I also agree we should be charging an import fee on all goods coming into the USA to create an even playing field. Those countries that pay their help pennies to our dollars and then charge import duty on our goods as well or will not at all allow our goods into their country is just not right. The same goes for religion....if a Christian church is not allowed in that country then they should not be allowed to build OR impose their laws here. All these one sided deals are not agreeable and should not be allowed. I know that is not Christian but....beheading Christians is not also. The UNITED STATES has become so liberal that the rest of the world has taken advantage of us and laughed at us all the way to the bank.

1] I also agree we should be charging an import fee on all goods coming into the USA to create an even playing field.

2] Those countries that pay their help pennies to our dollars and then charge import duty on our goods as well

1] This will mean higher prices for Americans and less purchase power. I agree with you.

2] You also want other countries to raise their workers salaries so we can become more competitive too. This will also mean higher prices for Americans and less purchase power. I agree with you on that point too.

Is this common sense, a conservative point of view or a liberal point of view?

I'm all for being strong militarily, but when I hear candidates saying they would carpet bomb Indiscriminately ect. I draw the line. They would never send their children to war, just see how many of the warmongers kept there children out of the wars. One was bush41.

Really? You would rather the president call for a red line and then not back it up? Or, how about Hillary that says she would have a No Fly Zone but said she would never put boots on the ground. We've had our fill of paper tigers, that have caused our allies to shun us, lose respect for us. As for Bush 41 keeping W out of war, I believe that 41 served us well in WWII. W did volunteer for WestPac orders, but did not receive them. Was that 41's doing? I don't see the relevance of your comment to America now and the election. Neither Bush is running for office.

Being ready to defend America and it's allies is not being a "warmonger." It's protecting family, if nothing else. The only thing that has protected us in recent years from a heavy assualt, has been the oceans surrounding us. And that has not been a guarantee. Obama has been a weak president like we have not seen since Carter.

"A Duke University study demonstrates that it matters whether civilian decision makers have military experience: A review of U.S. foreign policy over nearly two centuries shows that when we have the fewest number of veterans in leadership and staff positions in Congress and the executive branch, we are most likely to engage in aggressive (as opposed to defensive) war fighting. And we are most likely to pull out of conflicts early."

You need a more credible source of news other than Fox. President Obama is very highly regarded throughout the world. This is what they say in Britain, for example: "In Europe, we see President Obama as an educated, thoughtful, and sincere man, whereas Donald Trump has all the finesse and demeanor of a demented circus clown." .. Colin Eccles, England. The Pew Research Center studies show that in general, across the board, particularly among U.S. allies in Europe and Asia-Pacific, Obama enjoys considerable public support, as opposed to his predecessor George Bush who was reviled abroad.

Thank you for your post. I find it so credulous that people think that opinions are hard fact news. Trump is a total disaster for America. No substance..nothing that makes sense. The media says that Americans are voting for him because they are angry but I have yet to hear what they so darn angry about! Other than the rich getting richer and the middle class getting poorer. Good grief! Trump is not going to fix that!

Republicans are to blame for the middle class getting poorer! Our minimum wage is too high says many! Wake up America before it is too late!!
