Rationalizing Trump behavior with unfounded attacks on previous administrations
It sure seems that those who support Trump are rationalizing his behavior with their conclusions of past administrations. They have a poor memory of the past.
All investigations were concluded, and as a result of those investigations, the legal conclusions were made. Since those legal conclusions did not fit into the Trump supporters' minds, they project that any illegality, or impropriety, or malfeasance done by the Trump administration is therefore perfectly fine.
With that logic, they must also feel that the entire justice system is not only corrupt, but also ineffective in gathering evidence and supporting justice.
It is with that stature in mind, that they now condone a one-man authoritarian type of government and have, with the encouragement of Trump, fallen in line with swearing their loyalty to the man.
This behavior reeks of banana-republic politics, which we have seen many times in other countries.
I would like to think that we, as Americans, will go to the voting booths (provided that the voting booths are still viable for ALL citizens-another tactic of banana-republic governments to use to control their power) and end this tragic path.
