Default Looking for opinion

I'm wondering with every thing that is going on the world do you think Sharia law is rapidly taking over in this country. Is it influencing our law makers or worse yet has it. Think hard before or if you respond to this I am really looking for honest opinions. Thank you

It ABSOLUTELY has not/is not/will not have the kind of affect that you seem to fear. Because of the recent radical Islam attacks and rhetoric, it is getting more and not deserved attention.

It is not a fear

I think the only thing overtaking this country is paranoia. Anybody remember Norman Vincent Peale and the "Power of Positive Thinking"? Time to search Amazon for a copy.

Another no. I can't remember the last time someone was stoned in a public square.

To a very small extent, yes. Divorce judges frequently will accept the religious laws of a community in making divorce decree. This is true whether Ortodox Jew, Amish, Mormon, Christian or Muslim, provided these laws do not supercede state and federal laws. Ditto family law courts. Otherwise, no.
