By cutting funds to Planned Parenthood you limit or eliminate many services that women need in many places where Planned Parenthood is the ONLY medical provider in hundreds of miles, to women who don't have the financial means to go to other private providers.

Talking about ignorance! You should be embarrassed. If PP does not accept funding from the gov, then why are you all so worked up about it being defunded by the gov? Let's not argue about it, and just decide that PP does not need gov funding, OK? After all, they received funding from private donors too, right? And I am sure that Hollywood and other celebrities are more than willing to donate to PP. Since PP does NOT perform mammograms and they DO perform abortions, women can go elsewhere to get their low income services, such as the health Dept, etc.
By the way, if it is only Medicaid that is being used at PP and Medicaid does not pay for abortions, then why worry?
Oh, by the way PP receives about $70 million is Title X funding. That's NOT Medicaid. Since that is not Medicaid funding, you won't mind it if congress cuts that from PP funding, right? |
