I happen to like a lot of the Hispanics I have met in the Villages and elsewhere over the years.

Racism by in large is an emotional response. It is based on hatred of people you see as different in some way from you.

And many Hispanics have been in Florida and the Southeast and Southwest rather longer than some other groups.

Because you dealt with them on YOUR level...in your comfort zone. Go to the part of town where the Hispanics are the majority THEN make your opinion. THAT is the majority, that is where most of them live. Is that what you want for America's future? The whole country looking like that?

Racism is based on ACTION...they ACT different than us. Racism isn't everyone deciding one day, I don't like their dark skin, so I'm going to hate them. It comes from their character, their actions. They don't think or act like us...they don't. Again...GO TO WHERE THEY LIVE and see for yourself...is THAT what you want for America's future? We don't hold them down, we just don't want to around them. They hold themselves down. If there really was racism for NO reason...you wouldn't have the NBA and NFL 80% black. Boxing wouldn't be full of Hispanics. What they're GOOD AT, we let them do...what they're NOT good at...they get quotas.

Hispanics are really for the most part Native Americans from the southern tribes of C and S America mixed with Spanish blood. They have very little "white" in them but they're classified that way.

And a poor neighborhood is not poor because Hispanics or African-Americans live there. It is poor because of work opportunities, gangs, drugs, access to education and a wide variety of factors. Many of these are historical which no one has much control over unless a wealthy benefactor takes an interest in changed the various influences making this area economically challenged.

Too late to change the momentum. republican POTUS, house and senate and they cannot agree what time of day it is. The cronies, establishment and politics as usual means there will be no adopting of any measures to curtail the ILLEGAL browning of America.

"Illegal browning". For the most part it is legal especially if you are talking about immigrants from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and other places.

The comment addressed the impact of the uncontrolled illegal immigration by the thousands and the procreation from them.....wherever they are from.

At no time is or was there any intent to cast a shadow of any type on those, like most of our roots, who did it and are doing it legally. Born or naturalized Americans are not the problem unless they are in congress or political office!!

Hence the underscored term illegal browning!

Yes it IS poor BECAUSE they live there. Formerly wonderful neighborhoods become slums AFTER they move in...NOT before. THEY bring the gangs, the drugs, THEY destroy the schools.

People see out real names without any effort on there part on the Regular Board. With the TOTV Political Forum what you get usually are juvenile personal attacks, ****ty logic, abundant sexism and ever more racism.

It is safer for me as not many of my actual friends in the Villages ever bother with looking at the Political Forum. They might look at TOTV's other areas though. And my 2nd place number of posts and almost ten years of TOTV is there.

And most people I know who are aware of the Political Forum think it is a complete waste of time.
