Default IOWA...rethinking a bit...

Seems that those folks in Iowa who propelled our current President during the primary have learned or are learning what many on here have been saying since Iowa.

"As a candidate, Mr. Obama soared, several people said in interviews, but as a president, he often has come across as cautious, tentative and prone to blame his troubles on others."

And this...

“I think he was more presidential when he was running for office than he is now,” said Paul Johnson, 58, a student legal services lawyer at Iowa State University. “He seems more subdued, which is probably a result of having to actually deal with the issues on his plate as opposed to just rallying the troops to vote for him.”

There is with ALL Presidents that time when real world meets the promises, but this President promised a lot of folks that there would be change.....frankly, I see MORE politics with this administration than ever before...MORE of the past than ever before.

I still hold hope for him on Foreign relations.....yet just this morning I see where he has "no time in his schedule" to go to Berlin for the commeration of the downing of the Berlin Wall......and read the following attributed to the Washington Post...

"President Obama is applying the same tools to international diplomacy that he used as a community organizer on Chicago's South Side," the Washington Post notes, approaching "the world as a community of nations, more alike than different in outlook and interest." To the extent that the Cold War doesn't fit this unbelievably naïve worldview, it's an intellectual inconvenience"

I am glad that Merkel is being given the honor of addressing congress on this commeration !

I just hope that he is being misread on international problems.....and as opposed as I am to his domestic policies, will give him a small break on this and just watch !

But it is not what folks expected !
