Obama upon hearing news that the IRS systematically targeted conservative groups fired the IRS commissioner and promoted John Koshinen. Bear in mind that Obama was adamant that Citizens was bad law and ridiculed SCOTUS in his State of the Union .

The IRS under John Koshinen is continuing its same pattern as any of the other scandals in Washington Fast & Furious, Benghazi, DOJ , clinton Charitable foundation Clinton personal server when she was SOS,etc.

Specifically in the IRS case their is Destruction of evidence: on May 22 2013 IRS employees were issued a preservation order and instructed not to taper / reuse or destroy any e-mails back up tapes archive information from IRS personal computers On aug 2, 2013 oversight committee issued its subpoena for information . On Feb 2, 2014 Kate Duval IRS commissioner counsel informed the oversight that Lois lerner's computer crashed and the Inspector General discovered on March 4, 2014 that 422 backup tapes had been erased cotaining 24,000 e-mails.

Ms Kate Duval now works for the State Department where she is vetting Hillary clinton's e-mails relating to Benghazi

Because of the aforementioned actions and those that followed Koshinen is charged with failure to inform congress, making false testimony before congress, failure to correct the record and failure to reform IRS to protect First Amendments rights meaning he was directed by Obama to reform the IRS from their bad habits but the IRS continues to persist

Stonewalling and denial are so common place with these Washington liberals that they actually believe it is standard operating procedure.

As to the IRS function. My view is to start with why the taxman has any right to any of my money? I ask this because i am interested in how they will use it or if they will abuse it. Well we know which is my point.

The tax system needs to be changed but before we do that we need to change the spending habits of those greedy career politicians.

What kind of punishment do you inflict on the IRS by cutting their funding? How does not going after tax cheats help reduce the deficit? Tax cheating has increase, because people know that the IRS won't/can't go after them. Is this the Republicans idea of tax reform? A do it yourself approach for taxpayers. You don't like a certain provision in the tax law that affects you, then you can unilaterally change it. This law doesn't apply to me.

Under the Constitution, all men are created equal. If the IRS can chose what provision of the law they want to enforce, we are equal, so we can chose what provision of the law we want to disobey. Sounds good to me.

You want to make sure the IRS scandal won't repeat itself, then let the IRS enforce the law concerning 501(c)4 political action charities as written in the early 50's. No political action can be performed by the groups. That will shut them up in one big hurry.

Isn't this a contradiction? Government doesn't seem to be working under his administration. Then they reference the IRS internal auditor, and the justice department doing their jobs by investigating the scandal. Apparently these departments didn't get the memo from President Obama, "Don't do your job. You are making the rest of us look bad."

But they had the manning and funding to target the tee party WHEN THEY SOULD OF BEEN DOING other legitimate investigation?

Lets make the IRS useful and put those thousands of employees on the southern border to guard it. Hell we have to pay them anyway and you know you can't fire a gov't employee. The only was to get rid of this bloated gov't is to not replace them when they retire!!!
