It's funny you say that, my mother-in-law ask my husband if he is going to vote for McCain, he told her he hadn't decided yet, this was 6 months ago or so. She told him she figured he would support McCain just because McCain was a military man as was my husband. She on the other hand, being a lifelong, diehard Democrat told him that "she would vote for a chimpanzee" as long as the person is a Democrat. That just proved to us that no thought is put in to a lot of people's vote, it is strictly the party, don't give up that seat for any reason, even if it makes no sense. Doesn't that wreak of disregard for your country and the presidency, or whatever seat it may be? It just boggles the mind the things that some folks come up with but I know it is typical. Sorry for bending your ear, lol!

Unfortunately, in our 2 party system that "seat" often has more power and meaning than the person in it. This is especially true in the Senate. If one believes in Republican ideals (as I do) a majority of seats in Congress often means more than who the President is. Plus, saves me time... I'm in and outta that voting booth likety-split... one pull! |
