When one is going to parrot an article from the news how about using the whole story and not just the parts that make your case/agenda sound better.

The pipe not made in America is already purchased and has been sitting around waiting while Obama circle jerked the delays.....and playing it dem wise....the steel was purchased while Obama was president.

A partisan BS driven thread.

So what !!! send it back to China !!!

I'm all for the Keystone pipeline. Who would you rather buy oil from? Canada or a middle east country?

Which country in the world has the largest oil reserves? I'll answer it, the United States of America. We don't need no stinking pipeline.

That pipeline is to SELL oil. Oil from Canada piped and shipped from the Gulf of Mexico to European customers.

The US has the "most" oil...only if you count oil locked up in shale...VERY expensive to get out. As for easy to get, free flowing oil...it's still SA, Venezuela, the ME countries, Russia...

Prove where, as YOU stated, "Trump obviously did not know dip$hit Obamma bought and paid for import steel."

As everyone can see, you just got caught lying again...and are simply trying to obfuscate.

Deepest Sincere Wishes:

I went back and read my post. My generalization of saying Obamma bought and paid for the import steel could be misleading, some would picture him standing at the home depot register with a roller cart full of steel pipeline. My post was not intended to be inaccurate, that was a mistake in my choice of wording. What I should have typed was Obamma signed off on the pipeline without specifying that US steel would be used, and thus; Obamma's lack of thought is responsible for the purchase of import steel that is stock piled along the pipeline's course.

I am curious if you would characterize your post in the "Bronze Zoo" thread (which you claimed to have made a $100 dollar donation to charity) as a blatant lie? You did not generalize any information about your act, you just purposely lied...

I don't believe China has a "hassle free return" policy like Kohls...if they did, who do you believe should pay for the shipping costs to return it to China?

Maybe your hero Obamma would spend a little of the 12.4 million he has amassed (as a 400K a year politician) to send it back???

Your argument about shale is wrong.

Wikipedia has the US as #10 on the list of countries oil reserves, that means your answer is WRONG...

They could sell it to private companies who buy china pipe all the time. Was the money he made illegal? If so, elaborate on it.

Shale is not financially feasible when oil prices are low, that is why all those people in the shale oil industry were out of work when OPEC PURPOSELY drove the oil prices down. (Ethanol is also not financially feasible, when oil prices are low.)

OPEC controls the price of oil and they control their competition. Saudi's oil is more expensive because it is horizontally mined from sand, so they only lower the price long enough to drive the competition out of business and then they raise prices to make the sand mining financially feasible again.

What would you say if I told you a conglomerate formed by US oil companies used to own all the rights to Saudi's oil??

What benefit would selling the Chinese steel to private companies provide?

I have no idea how a guy who made 400K a year (3.2 million over the 8 years) turned it into 12.4 million...it does seem difficult to do, maybe he was giving golf lessons too?

No...it's not wrong...actually NEITHER of us KNOWS the absolute "truth" about anything other than what we can see with our own eyes...but that's beside the point.

Fracking tight shale oil is expensive AND those wells only produce for about 18 months before they need to be re-fracked. The low hanging fruit, the EASY to get out oil...has already been gotten. There is no oil shortage, there is only a set rate that oil can be extracted.

It's like the brouhaha over water here in C FL. There is PLENTY of water in the Florian aquifer...the "problem" during droughts is getting it out FAST enough because of all the lawn watering. A water well...an oil well...is like a Slurpee...if you suck it out slowly and steadily...it keeps flowing. If you try to suck it out too fast...it "dried up" and you need to wait for it to "recharge".

Shale oil isn't a panacea...

The price didn't STAY at $30 and while it was at $30, a LOT of US oil companies went out of business because $30 oil isn't profitable.

Just about every site you look at has a DIFFERENT country with the most reserves. Most put the US down around #10. Some count ALL oil...even that which will NEVER come out of the ground...until we're REALLY desperate.

Maybe you could ask the other presidents, they came out with more. Why don't you Google how Obama could make that much, if it's true.

If trump lived up to his promise he could demand American steel in the pipeline. Selling the steel would be someone elses problem.
After all isn't he in charge. He thinks he is.
